Is this a 110Volt version that you plugged into 220v?
There is a ceramic Fuse inside the unit that might be blown. It is the first thing on the circuit board near the power cord connection.
Open the unit up and post a photo of any burned components ?
Did you make the changhes? have you faound proper parts? I have the same problem with the charger, i accidentally plug into 220v and boom. The charger works at 110v and I do have a converter from 220v to 110v. I looked inside and I saw the component at the position vdr1C1 burned out. Could be only that varistor part? Could it be the fuse, too? The fuse is not burned out
The charger is easily repairable you need two parts one
is a fuse and the second is a varistor. You can get these parts from
toolpaetsdirect.com the fuse part number is MAK6527826 the varistor is
MAK6473299

Hello Daniel, I have Makita 12V charger DC10WB. I moved to England from AZ for my job and thought I had the proper converter and found out that I did not. I have opened charger, found the ceramic fuse. It does not appear to be blown. None of the parts look burnt. I can send a picture if you would like
Thank you,
Bruce

It's probably trashed beyond repair. When you do that, you blow out the surge absorber, the rectifier, and input capacitors and switching transistor. It's not going to be easy to fix. Suggest you buy one for 220.
You should have converted it to 220 before plugging it in. See the instructions on Avi's page for Makita charger DC18RA T mod (search for that).
