Try These Troubleshooting steps to fix kindle critical battery error. I hope these steps will help you.

Solution 1: Connect the Charger Properly

A Connect the original charger to the device and plug another end into the power outlet.
B See if the charging LED indicator turns ON. In case the light doesn't lit up; remove the cable, and plugin it again.
C Once the device starts charging let it charge for at least a few hours (four to five hours). Your device should be fully charged.

Solution 2: Use the Power Button

A Keep your charging cable connected to your device and the power outlet.
B While your device is charging; long-press the "Power button" for at least one minute.
C Release the button when your kindle turns off. Now, unplug the charger from the device and the outlet.
D Reconnect the charger to the device and the outlet again.
E In case it is not, try doing this steps, again and again, i.e., removing and reconnecting the power USB cable.

Solution 3: Use Recovery Mode

A Remove the USB cord from the device and the outlet, then slide the "power button" to the right side.
B Keep holding in this position for at least 20 seconds and release the power slide.
C Next, press and long hold the Home key for at least 30 - 45 seconds.
D The Kindle's screen will start flashing.
E Now, release the Home key.
F Once your kindle is completely rebooted; plug in the USB charging cable again.

Kindle battery won't charge . Kindle doesn't stay open

Hello

If the battery isn't too far gone, here's how to revive it:
1.Plug the device into the Kindle A/C adapter (not your computer) and let it charge for a few hours.
2.If you still see the same Critical Battery screen after charging, unplug the USB cord, then hold the power slide to the right for at least 20 seconds.

My Kindle will not charge - I have trued with various chargers I own

Hello

Just follow these steps to fix this issue:

1. Plug the device into the Kindle A/C adapter (not your computer) and let it charge for a few hours. Be sure the charging light is lit -- sometimes a drained Kindle will stop charging a few seconds after you plug it in. Unplug and replug until the light stays on steadily, then leave it alone. Most of the time you'll come back to a restored kindle. If not, go on to step 2.
2. If you still see the same Critical Battery screen after charging, unplug the USB cord, then hold the power slide to the right for at least 20 seconds.
3. Release the power slide, then immediately press and hold the Home key for another 30 - 45 seconds.
4. Once the Kindle's screen begins to flash, release the Home key. The eReader will boot to recovery mode. To continue, press and hold the R key until the screen flashes again.
5. After the device is finished rebooting, you may see the Critical Battery screen once more. If so, plug in the USB cord and wait for the Kindle to return to the Home screen.

What do ido to make my kindleD00901 operational SCRREN showing critical battery

The nice thing is, that the Kindle/Amazon charger (Ac adapter) is clearly marked as being an Amazon/Kindle charger.

So, here's what you do, perform the hard reset of the Kindle (slide and hold the power switch over to 20+seconds; count slowly; release, then connect to your Amazon/Kindle AC adapter. Then leave it connected for 30+minutes; and should the battery charge, the Kindle screen will return to normal.

Alternate step to try is; if you don't have the actual Kindle AC adapter, you will need to try to charge via the USB port from your computer.

The trick here is, that the Kindle takes longer to charge direct from a computer USB port, and the computer has to be left on the whole time and CANNOT go to sleep, as the power to the USB ports might be turned off.
Also, it's best if you connect to a "powered" USB hub, or the USB ports found at the back of a computer tower (not the front USB ports as most of the time, the front ports do not supply enough power for Kindle charging).

How do i charge my kindle comes on screen battery flat

You kindle should have come with a usb cable (one end is different from the normal usb on things like pen drives) and also a little plug with a usb port on it. If you plug these two together, then plug the other end of the cable into the kindle, once you plug the actual plug into the wall, your kindle should start to charge (you can see this by a light appearing on the bottom of the device). You can also plug this cable straight from your kindle to the computer. This will also charge it (though slower than through the mains).
