please try to download k-lite codec pack at codecguide.com, choose the k-lite that is compatible to your operating system.

You need to find out what codec that movie needs.
I hope you got it from a good source...

The tool MediaInfo GUI can give you that information.
After that, you can search the internet for the right codec.

this is a tactic created to force you to go to that website and download their "codec" (possibly a virus)

I would suggest deleting that video file and trying a different source,
if you have downloaded anything from that website I would run an antivirus and antimalware scan.

If you are downloading Avi Files, Traditional Codec will work, if its directing you to download anything else, I would not trust it. play your AVI files with VLC Player. download and install it it has every codec known to man, http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ Installs in seconds and you will never have codec issues again.... Many times when you download a torrent avi file, Spammers often direct you to another website for codec or a password, My advise is to stay away from this if VLC cant play it it cant be played.... have fun and take care.

I am sorry, but you've downloaded a fake Torrent. The video you've download isn't a genuine copy but it's been uploaded by someone trying to fool people and let users waste their bandwidth. The website "www.codecavil.com" is also a not existing website. It's always important to read the comments and the ratings of a particular torrent before downloading. Actually using or accessing torrent or P2P isn't recommended since there are many viruses transferring to and from. But if you wish to use torrent tracking softwares, always download them from trusted users and trusted torrent trackers/websites. Notice the Comments and the Positing Ratings.

Note: There are many more similar fake torrents.. so beware before you download so that you may not waste time, energy and bandwidth..
