I have a Liebherr No-Frost Premium, with the freezer at the bottom of the unit three years old. I've had a number of problems with the box. The immediate pressing one is that the thermostat seems haywire. It reads "45 degrees" for the refrigerator; yet it seems cool enough not to spoil the food. I can't seem to readjust the temp. When I hit the down direction, it reads "36 degrees," flashing; then it goes back to "45 degrees." I'm worried that I'll wake up with all the food ruined.

For that problem, the electronics control board and the thermostat must be check. Since the display doesn't follow the control button and it adjust itself automatically without controlling, it's already sure that the control is the problem. Check first thermostat then electronics control board. Be sure that the door are tightly close.

Have you tried cleaning the condenser coil. They are located at the bottom of the unit and have a fan blowing them. As clean as possible is very important to operation. Let us know about this step. Roger

Samsung french door freezer gets lots of frost inside - we've replaced the gasket but still get frost

Could be the rail slides not closeing correctly keeping door open slightly. Also they have made a new stronger set of rails to be used. Try going to the Samsung web site for tech info our recalls for that unit

Fridge too cold!

don't forget that just turning down your fridge temp dose not mean your problem might be over yet. the freezer setting may also be too high & that will affect your fridge temp as well. i set both my control settings to around 50% of what is on the scale & that works perfect for my 7 yr old fridge. also, very important, is make sure the freezer portion is going through it's full defrost cycles, or it will freeze the upper portion inside the fridge. you should not have any frost build up in your fridge, nor should you have any in your freezer. that's why they call them FROST FREE. try the slow temp decrease over a period of a few days & hopefully that will work for you. good luck.

I own a liebherr GNP2076 frost free upright frrezer

freezers do not normally go wrong too often so your going south is unusual.liebherr have given you a very good responce that some makers would not even dream of,i would recomend that you take up their offer as the chances of another problem are slim to zero...(in european law, it is you that has to prove that an appliance has a "inbuilt fault"to get anywhere.)

frost is a sign that warm air is coming in from somewhere, the most common issue w/ bottom freezers is the door can appear to be shut, when its actually not.always shut door from the middle of the door, not sides. if a bottom freezer is preffered-i suggest a swinging door vs. the sliding drawer....

Amana energy saver not keeping fridge section cool enough. HELP!

if there is frost build up on rear wall of freezer section the unit is not going through defrost cycle which builds up frost on evaporator and restricts cold air flow to the fresh food section. one of three things are bad. defrost heater, defrost thermostat or defrost timer. if no frost on rear wall you might be low of freon.

Liebherr frost free fridge/freezer

Try these solutions in these order:
1. Switch off the fridge and leave the door open overnight. Switch it back on in the morning.
Explanation: The sensor inside the fridge gets frozen and cannot control the temperature properly.
2. Switch off the fridge. Unplug it. At the back of the fridge (behind the unit, not inside) there is a large grid. Clean it with a hoover thoroughly. Open the fridge. Dry the back of the fridge if wet (inside the fridge). If frosted wait for it to defrost and then dry it. Plug in the fridge. Switch the fridge back on. This one worked for me.
Explanation: The dust in the grid deprives the fridge from cooling down and the unit can't control the temperature in the fridge section.
3. Switch off the fridge. -Unplug it. Empty it. Turn it upside down. Plug it in. Switch it on for 24 hours. Switch it off. Unplug, return to normal and switch on.
Explanation: This has to do with the pressure of the gas inside the compressor. I have not tried it but this advice as given to me by a qualified electrician when I commented the (in)famous F2 problem in Liebherr fridge/freezers.
Hope it helps. Regards. Albert
