Turn the Master ON/Off Switch to OFF and unplug the unit for 15 minutes. Then plug the unit back in and turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to ON. Hopefully, during that 15 minute timeout, the electronics reset and reverted back to the original factory settings.

Hope this helped you solve the problem.

P2 code is on Alen AC portable unit. Have emptied tank, unplugged, reset and still have P2 code on.

I am not completely familiar with these units but I believe they use a float to determine condensate levels. This float may be stuck in the raised position.

How do I drain the water from my LG portable air conditioner (LP1010SNR)

Lift up the window securing the AC, and CAREFULLY tilt back the unit. The water lays towards the back of the A/C under the fan.

How do you drain water from a LP1010snr air conditioner?

P2 means the water collection tank is full and needs to be drained. You have to pull the drain plug at the bottom of the unit and drain the water.
Drain the water (small amount actually) in the shower. Note: There is a cap towards the bottom of the unit that you will need to unscrew, then pull out the rubber plug. Fired up the unit after the water drain ... it worked fine.

Water leaking out of frigidaire portable air conditioner at left back bottom corner? Model FAPO94P172 or FAP094P172??

First, have you drained the tank recently. If not, the warning light or auto shutoff failed and the tank may be overflowing. Worse case scenario is the that the tank is dirty and is not allowing the coils to cool and the dripping water you see is from the cooling coils. Since the tank is not removable, it's very difficult, at best to clean the tank.

If you drain the tank and before reinserting the drain plug, try to get about 1/2 teaspoon of bleach in the drain hole. followed by 2 cups of water. Of course you'll have to use a funnel of sort to do this. Reinstall the drain plug and move the unit around so the water and bleach will slosh around. Then run the unit until the bucket is near full again and drain it thoroughly. Look at the color of water draining out, for an indication that there is dirty water. That will be a good indication, that some cleaning of the tank has taken place.

Hope this helped you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

Hi I HAVE A DIMPLEX AIR-CON It was already here when I moved into this house but lately after it been for on about 5 mins it stops and it display a code of P2. I dont know how to get hold of a manual...

If your model is a portable AC unit, the P2 indicates that water needs to be drained from the tank.
Turn the unit OFF and unplug it, before draining the water from the lower tank into a shallow sided pan capable of holding at least 1 quart of water. Once it has completely drained, reinsert the drain plug, plug the unit in and turn it ON. The P2 Error Code should have disappeared. If not, press the ON/OFF button twice.

I hope this helped you.

I purchased and LG Model# LP1010SNR on 8-3-10 at Home Depot. It was a floor model and did not come with an owners manual. It has a digital display screen. It is intended to run for several hours at a time...

What happens on this unit is it will suddenly stop followed by a series of chimes. You can reset the unit, but it will end with the same set of chimes. My unit display had a P2 code. As mentioned above, I drained the water (small amount actually) in the shower. Note: There is a cap towards tha bottom of the unit that you will need to unscrew, then pull out the rubber plug. Fired up the unit after the water drain ... it worked fine. If they can make a GI Joe talk ... why can this unit simply say ... "Please Drain". P2 is so intuitive.
