I too just received the Disney Dual DVD player as a gift and I went to plug it into the car adapter and it fell apart. Where can I get a replacement

I was able to use it for 1 month when my 3 yr old took it apart. I've tried Radio Shack, too expensive and not helpful. I've also misplace the paperwork that came with it, I would like to reorder it. Any suggestions?

Mine fell apart too! This player has been a pain. Has anyone found a solution?

  • mjpcarter Nov 11, 2008

I too had the same problem and exchanged it for a new one at Target.....that one fell apart immediately as well.  I found a new one on ebay it is a different design and totally solid, it was like $12.00....totally worth it!  It has worked with no problems for 6 months.  Now my connector between DVD's is not working, if I jiggled it, it would work for a while but is not working at all now.  I have gone and looked everywhere for a new one and no luck....any advise?

I have had all the problems listed above and this is how i solved mine. The av cord is cheap, you need to tape it so it doesnt come apart and keep fuses on hand because they blow out easily.

I went to the local electronics store and found a replacement. I then went home and searched it online and found a nice one for 12.00.

the connection to the dvd player later stopped working. i took that to a local electronics (tv/vcr/dvd) repair center. they opened it up and re-soldered the connection. 15.00.

We have a Audiovox (model FY035002) dual car dvd player, my son stepped on the adaptor and broke the fuse screw holder, do I need to replace the whole adaptor and where can I purchase?

I had to buy a replacement charger a while back. E-mail Audiovox through their website with the model of the DVD player and the part number of the adapter and they will let you know where you can purchase the replacement. It's throught another company, just can't remember and you can order it online - they'll give you the website. It only costs about $15.00.
