I would say check voltage at the element to see if voltage is making it there. If it is, replace the element. If it isn't, track from the timer back to see where you are losing voltage.

replace the igniter. The ignitor is the most comon problem with gas appliances checking continuity does not tell you if it is bad or not it has to draw a certain amount of amps to open the gas safty valve and the is no safe way to check this on most gas dryers

in this case we put the lower temp thermostat in the oven at 170 degrees till it was hot and measured with ohm meter and it was open. After it cooled down some it went back to being a short. Now with this part in the dryer and the new high temp thermostat
and it blew shortly after being turned on. A possiblity is that there is a short by passing the 150 degree thermostat and the element keeps being on and causes the 350 degree thermostate to blow.

hello.
You likely will need to replace the 2 coil valve solenoids at the top of the burner. These safety coils may gradually fail over weeks or even months giving partial heating and longer dry times. As the coils are going bad, they will work for just a brief amount of time, then after a half hour or so of cycling on and off to maintain the drum's temperature, they'll break down and cease to open the valve.

This link here will show you what they look like and how to replace them, along with some more helpful tips.
I really hope that you find this helpful. Helping others is what I love to do. If you need any further assistance, I'll be happy to help you if I can.
Thanks,
Mike
