The link below brings you to the HP Support site for your printer. You will find a drop-down menu to choose your operating system, select your operating system and click the "Next" button. You will be presented with a few different downloads. The recommended one is under the section called "Driver - Product Installation Software" and the file is "HP LaserJet Full Feature Software and Drivers". Download and install this to get your printer installed.
Simply put in the cd for the printer you want to install and just run the setup,if you do not have the cd for any of the two printers you have, let me know so i can assist you further by giving you a link where you can download the software for your printers.

uninstall your printer then reinstall it and read carefully the installation instructions showing to you. If you doing right computer will tell you that the installation successfully complete. Then, Check all connections.
try to connect the usb of your printer at the back usb ports of your CPU. and try to scan your device. or
Do as follows inst.
Unplug your printer usb on your system. then attach it back to your computer then power on your printer.
Do
right click my computer>properties> in system properties select
hardware> then, click the Device Manager> tab, then select your device on PORTS. then click the scan for hardware
changes> to scan your device. this icon can be found above or click Action menu and select
>scan for hardware changes.
