How can i change the default browser settings of my BlackBerry 8100?

Open your web browser and press your "BlackBerry" button, scroll down to "Options" folder and click it.. After opening the options menu, click on the first option labeled "Browser Configuration". After opening your browser configuration folder, scroll all the way down until you get to "Home Page Address". From here you can enter your new home page manually or you can just select the "Use Current" option that will make your Home Page the last mobile site you were on before you pressed your BlackBerry button.. sorry to say i have a blackberry 8100 and it has no wifi

First check blackberry services are active.
May be few browser files are corrupted. Please request your service provider (customer service) to send service book for Browser.

Hope you will be able to browse after receiving the settings.

Wireless router's range is limited. So whenever your out of wireless network please use Internet Browser.

To change the default browser on a BlackBerry smartphone,

Click Browser.Press the menu button and change the default browser to internet browser.

Make sure your blackberry services are active. You just have to change the browser settings, If your not in wi-fi area

To change the home page of the browser complete the following steps:
1) Open the browser.
2) Display the menu, and click Options > Browser Configuration
3) Click the browser to be configured.
4) Change the Start Page option to Home Page.
5) Change the Home Page Address to the web site that should be loaded when the browser is opened.
Note: If the Start Page option is not present, you will be unable to change the home page of that particular browser due to an IT Policy on the BlackBerry smartphone. For more information contact your administrator.

For this, as you have changed your password on the outlook mail you need to change the same password on the blackberry handset as well.

Check whether you are getting EDGE/GPRS in upper case.Have you activated BB services,if you have already activated BB services there may be a network issue also and check whether there is a check mark in blackberry internet services(Menu-Options-Security Options-Firewall-BlackBerry Internet Service)if there is a check mark on it remove it.If you are using BIS check the default browser is Internet Explorer of if you are a BES user default browser is Blackberry Browser.Menu-Options-Advanced Options-Browser-Press menu-change Options-select the browser according to the service.

your setting will be set according to your provider.

if your trying to use blackberry browser, you have to have a blackberry account.

try hard reset.here is how its done.make sure you backup everything before you do this as it will reset to factory settings.

From the home screen, select Options | Security Options

Select General Settings

On some devices, you now select "Services". If this isn't available, go to next step.

Click the trackwheel, and select Wipe Handheld

Click Continue

When prompted, type "blackberry" to continue

Your BlackBerry device will erase all the data and put the settings back to factory default
