Recently started getting the same error message. I thought it was because I was getting to close to full or something that was trying to over fill the discs.
Have tried EP and LP and this just started when I had a disc set to record to the end. I can't even open that one or finalize it. The rest do the same. They are working fine and when the error comes up, ZAP the disc is dead, no access.
I also tried putting the same disc into another Magnavox DVD recorder, still no access. These are both the most reliable recorders I've ever owned and I've had a number.
magnavox error message dvd
"e 6 2a031000 can not record on this disc."
I suspect at this point, a batch of cheap Nexxtech DVDs. Also it's possible that it's a heat problem with the recorder?
Once the disc goes into error mode, it's unreadable and all recordings that haven't been written to the TOC become invisible, but that time is forever lost on the DVD.
DVD is visibly (looking at recording surface) FULL but the supposed record time isn't used up. Data error. Discs reporting wrong size. Try a different brand of DVD.
When you open your Instant DVD Recorder all you have to do is to choose Go directly to advance mode then on step number 1 click on the pull down arrow and choose dazzle dvc 100. Click option after that. Click on video input and then click VCR input. Now go to step number 4 and you can now put your valid time for recording. Check if choppy video again and let me know it by replying here.
Could you please tell me what kind of serial number is that and let me know also what is the program you trying to install to your computer. Is that Studio program or the instant DVD recorder. Please reply back here and if ever copy and paste your serial number so that I can check what is that serial number is all about.
When you cannot get into put the time for recording on step number 4 all you have to do is to go back to step number 1. Double click on Pinnacle Instant DVD Recorder and choose go direct to the advance mode and click next. On Step number 1 click on the pull down arrow and choose for dazzle DVC 100. Go back to step number 4 and now put the total and valid time recording. If there is no Dazzle device on step number 1 go ahead and disconnect your dazzle and connect to another usb port or much better if you connect that at the back of the computer.Try it again.
