E1000 router is not a dual band router.
It works only on 2.4 GHZ wireless signal.
You can try changine the wireless channel on the router.
If you have installed the Cisco conect software on your computer, then open the Cisco connect software. Go to router settings. Click on advanced settings. It will open the setup page of the router. Go to wireless tab.
Set the configuration view to Manual.
change the channel to 11. See if that works.
If not then change the channel to 1 and check it.

You need to configure your router with below method. Connect your router to computer with ethernet cable then you can access it with following default link. http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.15.1 or http://192.168.2.1 If you are not able to access it with above ip then check your computers ip address gateway ip is your router ip try with it. Then it ask for user name and password. Type user as "admin" and password as "admin" or "password" or blank. Then you can see configuration page of router. If you are still not able to access router with above ip then you need to RESET it for that press RESET button for 10 seconds it is in back side of router then all settings defaults..Then you can access it with above method. Then set WAN settings as internet service provider settings enable DHCP. .Click on wireless and enabled it. Then click on wireless->wireless security->WEP security there is code password note down it or enter new password then save setting s and restart router. then you can connect wireless with new password. you may need to sign in manually,those tvs sometimes dont pick up dns addresses of routers automaticallty
plug in your cable into your laptop
go to start/accessories/command prompt
type in ipconfig
scroll up till you see ethernet
take down your ip4 address,itll look something like this xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (change the last number to something in the range of 1-250) your subnet mask ad default gateway
plug back in your line to your tv,go to manual enter settings
enter in your ip (with the number changed at the end) your subnet mask and your default gateway number for your dns/gateway if required
