RCA, and several other companies, make all in one remotes. If you check their websites, you'll find lists of the TV's they'll control, along with the programming control codes (the codes are included in a booklet in the package with the new remotes).

Looking at the RCA site, and the sites of several others, they all seem to have the control codes for Proton.

I have a Protron LCD 26" TV model#LT26CIPI...The tv was working great turned it off on night and in the morning turned it back on to sound but no picture just a Black screen...when you change channels

Since its a LCD take a flashlight and have the room as dark as possible and with the light look to see if a very very faint image of the picture can be seen or not---many of these sets use a "back light" for the brightness and if that's not on.......

32" protron tv

an output like ( HDMI ) would be on a dish reciever , and a hdmi input on a tv would plug into that output on the dish reciever
Is HDMI what you are trying to connect? then you would need an HDMI cable
HDTV = High Definition television , which means that you have a built in digital tuner that will pick up the digital and high definition broadcast channels with an antenna connected to the tv

Picture is black and white

If you have it connected to the 'antenna input' on your TV, change the channel up or down, and then back to 3/4 as appropriate. Sometimes the signal from the machine does not match exactly what the TV is looking for, but the TV will figure it out after you change the channel up or down. The AFC (automatic frequency control) will then try to re-tune the channel.
If you have it connected using the composite, and r/w audio, then you likely have a problem inside the DVR.

Protron PLTV26 - Only Audio but No Video

Hi jnks2005, We need to check your backlight, while tv is on and you have sound, take a flashlight and shine it on the screen, look very close and see if you can see a dark video image, If so you have a bad backlight inverter. You can try to unplug your tv for a couple of hours and let it reset but it is most likely the inverter. Let me know what you see and I can help you locate parts and instruct the replacement. Please rate this solution. lone99star

CABLE JACK NEEDED

You can try using an rf modulator to convert the coax signal into one that you connect to the tv using RCA jacks. I believe that model has one source on it for AV. Most stores carry these and they are relatively inexpensive.

DTV Converter Box

If there is no digital tuner built into the tv or unless you subscribe to Cable TV or Satellite service you will still need a converter to view tv with rabbit ears (air broadcast).

Good luck!

Circuit Board

if you didn't damage it to bad you could take a wire and use it as a jumper to cross over the traces you drill thru.

My JVC PIP Won't work, pls help!

I was told that in order to view 2 different channels at the same time u have to subscribe to SKYCable and use the digital input instead of the antenna input and the antenna input you will have to use the regular antenna since there is only one tuner in the TV
