Hello. I'm trying to record gameplay onto my camcorder. I have the y splitters and cables hooked up to my tv and xbox. When I plug in the av cable there is no pic on the camcorder screen, but the screen shows up on the tv and is moving in a left to right motion.Any advice would be appreciated. thanks

Hi I'm trying to hook my xbox up to a Emerson tv

Check the component video inputs. A lot of manufactures incorporate a composite video input into the green component input. (meaning try to put the yellow cable into the green input) Also, check the sides and bottom of your TV. Some TV sets have some what hidden inputs for alternate AV setups. If you only have an RF setup then you will need to buy and hookup an RF modulator. (recommend you just buy a new TV if this is the case!) If you could have listed the model number of the TV then I could check to see what video inputs you actually do have and be able to assist you better. What I would recommend though is to purchase component video cables or use an HD hookup. You will find your video gameplay to be much better.

Hi And Welcome to Fixyah,

Step 1: Install the Pinnacle Dazzle Video Creator Platinum software and make sure it works with the Dazzle DVC 100. Sometimes this is easy, other times, this is a very difficult task.

Step 2: Buy 3 RCA type Y cables. One male end, 2 female ends.

Step 3: Plug the male ends of the RCA y-connectors to the Dazzle DVC 100.

Step 4: Plug the Yellow, Red and White RCA connectors from the XBox 360 to the color matched female RCA y-connectors on the Dazzle DVC 100.

Step 5: Plug a second triple RCA connector into the other end of the color matched RCA Y Connectors.

Step 6: Plug the other end of the triple RCA connector into the TV.

You need a 'Y' splitter for the video to split between the TV and the Dazzle box.

Sound but no picture

On some av cables for the Xbox 360 there is a switch on the cable itself where it plugs into the Xbox that must be in the correct position. I hope this helps you.

Magnavox MWR10D6 can't record from camcorder wrong channel

OK...try this...plug your RCA cables from your camcorder into the RCA input jacks on the back of the recorder. If you have a VCR, it can be plugged into the coax input on the back of the recorder. Use the coax output and plug it into a RF modulator (about $20 at Wal Mart). Plug the RCA output cables from the recorder into the RF modulator as well (Don't ask me why, but it seems to work on mine). Connect a coax cable from the RF modulator to the TV. Make sure the TV and Recorder are both on the right channel. The RF modulator will have a channel switch to use channel 3 or 4 on the TV. Make sure the recorder is set to E1 (Rear). You can check this with the channel +/- buttons on the bottom right of the remote. Good luck.
