You will need to sign in using a saved device that you have previously used in the past. Then you will be able to turn off the Login Approval settings or update your phone number.

If you can't login, to your previous account, you can't retrieve your information that was there. If the account still is active and you can log in, you can do what you want. I even got messages from an old facebook account I dod not use for more than a year. I could wipe all info and close the account definitive. I was not allowed to login or look for 14 days, before Facebook really shut down the account. If I only would have looked in the account is still would exist.

Point your web browser at http://www.facebook.com

If another account comes up, log out of it by clicking the down-pointing triangle in the upper-right then clicking "Log Out."

If you then still can't log in to your account, click the "Forgot your password?" link located just below the password box on the login page.

The newer account login page is appearing because it's what you used most recently. Just change the login email address and/or password to that of the previous account, and you'll log in using the old account.
