Sorry to hear about your trouble. You elimanted the cable as a potential problem so that is good. You are left with a couple of options that might be causing the problem.
-Bad HDMI port on the XBOX
-Bad HDMI port on the TV
-Incorrect TV settings
On the TV, you want to make sure you set it to the HDMI input when you are using HDMI, but I assume you already do this and most newer TV's will auto adjust to HDMI when the xbox is turned on. Always good to double check.
The easiest way to narrow the problem down further would be to test the hdmi connection with another TV. If the xbox works on another TV then you narrowed the problem down to the TV and will need to repair the TV either through warranty support, by yourself or via a TV repair man. If the xbox has the same trouble on a different TV then you know the problem is with the XBOX and you can contact Microsoft Xbox support for repairs.
