Error 3 and printer wont print. kept jamming paper

This probably means that one of the paper sensors/clips is not in position
to recognize that the paper is loaded correctly.

Perhaps a previous paper jam left a small piece of paper or took a
sensor out of position.

What I can suggest is to look at the path the paper would take and locate
those clips/sensors see if there are ok. Or just change position of the printer,
tilt it or jiggle it lightly, with luck it too might help. thanks

Dell S2500 doesn't recognize loaded paper.

Pull the paper tray out and check if the paper end sensor is out of bracket or broken. When you remove the paper tray and look inside, you should be able to see the sensor lever that can be moved up by finger. It moved up by paper stock when you insert the tray. This is how paper detection mechanism works on majority of the printers.

Top ADF will not recognize paper in the feed tray.

Try to replace the 'paper is present' sensor with the 'cover open' one to see if now it is detecting the paper. Also, check the actuator that enter in that sensor.

HP Photosmart 3310 does not recognize paper in tray

This is usually do to a sensor, your correct on that, thers usually a plastic piece that indicates theres paper and its broken or worn.

The other thing is that it may be the little rubber grabber is worn and not grabbing the paper, so the printer thinks thers no paper because nothings going through. These parts can be orderd but are usually costly depending on the printer. If its under warranty, take it back.

Also, check the trey and make sure it isnt a I.D.10.T error and you just set the paper to legal or something. I've made that mistake before.
