Saved images to the internal memory or to the optional xD-Picture Card

Hi,

Even if the Memory Stick Duo is inserted in the Camera, the images will not be saved in the Memory Stick Duo until the capacity of the Internal Memory is full. To save the images in the Internal Memory to the Memory Stick Duo, select the EXPORT option from the Viewing Menu of the Camera. Touch the MENU icon when viewing images to select the IMPORT option.
There are two option in the Viewing Menu of the Camera (Export and Import). Export option is to save from Internal Memory to Memory Stick and Import is for saving from Memory Stick to the Internal Memory.
This Camera is having 4GB of Internal Memory, hence the images captured will get saved in the Internal Memory first and then to Memory Stick once the Internal Memory is full.

It is possible to transfer saved images between the internal memory and an xD-Picture Card. 1Press the “w” button to turn the camera on in Playback mode. 2Press the “MENU/OK” button to display the menu on the LCD monitor. 2 a)Press “a” or “b” to select “û” COPY. b)Press “c”. 4 a)Press “a” or “b” to select “FRAME” or “ALL FRAMES”. b)Press the “MENU/OK” button. ALL FRAMES Copies all the frames (files). FRAME Copies only the selected frame (file). COPY 3 a)Press “a” or “b” to select INTERNAL MEMORY \ CARD or CARD \ INTERNAL MEMORY and confirm the copy source and copy destination. b)Press “c”.

In the Menu if you go to the option that says Setup and press ok there should be an option that says Backup. This should allow you to copy the images from the internal memory to your xD card.

The images saved to the internal memory can be copied to the xD-Picture Card, but you cannot copy images from the xD-Picture Card to the internal memory.

Before you choose to copy the files to the xD card be sure that there is enough room on that card. To copy the images to the xD card make sure the camera is powered on, then and press the menu button. Use the down arrow key to navigate through the menu to the BACK UP feature. Use the right arrow key to enter the Back Up screen and select YES to copy the images to the xD card, or NO if you choose not to coy the image files.

The images saved to the internal memory can be copied to the memory card, but you cannot copy images from the memory card to the internal memory.

The internal memory and xD-Picture Card cannot be used at the same time. When the card is inserted the internal memory is disabled. When you want to use the internal memory you must remove the xD-Picture card. The LCD display indicates the images are being saved to the internal memory by displaying [IN] in the lower right corner of the screen. When using the xD-Picture Card the LCD will display [xD] in the lower right corner. These indicators are displayed just above the number of available frames.
