All lights are flashing and the printer will not print. Everything is connected properly

I had this same problem. Count the number of blinks in sequence of the error light. it will flash green and yellow, and then just straight yellow for a number of flashes, then it will flash green again and the same number of yellow flashes again. Here is the diagnostic guide.

Two flashes: Printer is out of paper. Paper does not feed

Three flashes: Paper jam

Four Flashes: The Print Head Lock Lever is not locked properly / Ink tank is not installed properly. / Ink may have run out

Five flashes: Print Head is not installed./ Print Head is defective

Eight flashes: Ink absorber is almost full

Nine flashes:No response from connected digital camera or video camcorder/Connected digital camera or video camcorder is not compatible with this printer./PictBridge compliant devices are attached to both Direct Print Port and Bluetooth Unit Connector

Eleven flashes: Automatic Print Head Alignment failed

Twelve Flashes: Low battery level

Fifteen Flashes: Ink tank cannot be recognized

Seventeen Flashes: Ink has run out

Eighteen Flashes: Printer detected ink out condition

Nineteen Flashes: A USB hub is connected

Mine had 10 Flashes and the Print Carriage, was bad. Cost almost as much as another printer so thats what I did. I did take it apart and got it unstuck, but still didn't work.

A quick fix for most communication errors can be achieved by resetting the printer and/or rebooting the PC. Unplug and re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it. Reboot your computer.

the problems are :-

• cartridges are not recognised or installed
• there is a paper jam.

1. it seems that you have clogged print head.
2. you will have to replace the print head or remove them an clean them properly with proper clean solution such as denatured alcohol. Depending on the type of print head manufactured. Some times the print head can be shorted and the printer will not recognize a connected print cartridge.

I think you need to reset the counter, you can either take it into a epson service centre & have them reset it, or download a programme online.

you just need to google it, just type in service reset C88 that should do the trick.

completely go throught all the area's that are possible for paper to get jammed in. Also make sure the print head is in the correct location when it is not printing. The lights indicate a critical jam or malfunction. After checking everything unplug the printer for 30 sec and plug it back in. also make sure that all doors and paper trays are properly closed or inserted. I hope this helps. Good luck

If the light are flashing, it mean waste ink full. You must clean waste ink pad, and reset the counter. You can use SSC, find at indoreset.blogspot.com. But,.. you said the light are on. try to resinstall driver. after printer recognised by comp, check status monitor. Green light on is power on, and red on mean chip error/ink out error/cartridge error.

Normal 0 Driver could be corrupt.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.

Does your network have a dedicated computer server and the printer is attached to this server or is the printer attached to a dedicated print server device?
OR
Does a computer on your network shares its printer with other computers on your network?
There is insufficient information on how you configured your printer setup for me to give you a proper answer to your problem.
