I have a optio 8.1 & i try turning it on but it wont turn on and the lens i think their stuck bekus they wont move back..what do i do?

Try to assist the machine mechanism. Turn the lenses (force is no necessary) when turning on or off. This should unlock the mechanism.

mine won't turn on at all... I checked the batteries, it just won't do anything....what do you think that is?????
camera wont turn on and lens is open and zoom out.when I hit power button the yellow lite comes on for just a sec then goes out. ive replaced batteries
lens is 1/2 way out and nothing happens no matter shat I do... camera shop said it's probably off the tracks. cheaper to get a new camera they said.
I tried several new batteries and no matter what the camera won't turn on. Sometimes it's considerate enough to tell me batteries depleted. Usually not; just the little green light goes on for a while and then turns off.
i have the same problem, i bought it in march 2008, changed the battery pack with reachargables and it has never worked since i bought it from asda's and now they have stopped selling them, didnt have my reciept and there was nothting they could do!!!
