My scanner is an old Tiny FU661E flatbed scanner but still very new which i'm told is the same as Visioneer product. I've actually managed to install a windows7 driver and then successfully scanned. A few moments later i tried scanning and it all came out black. It appears the light bulb is not on anymore. What can i do?

There are no windows 7 drivers for that scaner.

I could not find the driver for vista.

For the Visioneer OneTouch 5600 Flatbed Scanner in windows 7 go to the visioneer web site at http://support.visioneer.com/products/5600/downloads.asp and download the file 5600.303110.EN.exe. Then right click on the file name and select Trouble shoot compatibility. Do not connect the scanner until told to. Run the program using the recommend settings. That installs the drivers. It does not install the paperport support software but does install the monitor in the task bar. That is enough to use the scanner and save or print the scans.

As you can see,unfortunately,your scanner is not suitable for Vista.I would just go and get a new one.They are not to $$.

From what it sounds is you got a bad lamp and visioneer being a very old scanner would probably be hard to find a replacement lamp for this scanner.

I went to the Visioneer site and got the driver. The url is here:

I need to run it using Picasa or Windows Scan manager as there is no ICON on the desktop. Perhaps the CD installs it. Not sure.

the FU661e will happily uses the 5600 series driver, the FU661 is a rebadging for 'tinycorp', the EU site is easiest to find it on
