Phone has gone blank but date and time still there but has lost all data contacts. how do we restore contacts. thanks

I'm very sorry to hear about your luck, however the data on your internal memory was overwritten when it did the software update.

There is nothing that can be done, as it does not have a revert feature to restore data like a PC.

Tip for the future: Sync and backup your data to your PC (ex. Outlook) if your phone can't do that there are other ways.

It sounds like you may have performed a master clear on your device. If this is the case all that old information is gone for good and there is no way to retrieve it. Cell phones do not have an "undelete" function or any way to retrieve information once it has been deleted.

of course if it would be MMC card that the information was, you could always try to insert it to the PC with card reader and see if PC tools could be in any help

Its easier if you just save your contacts on your SIM card that way whenever you transfer your sim card to a different phone your contacts will be on the new phone.
