The touch pads are a common fault on microwave ovens they go out for a variety of reasons but mostly due to moisture getting inside the pad. These can be replaced pretty reasonable and are not that hard to do. You can google your make and model and find a touch pad or get one from your local parts supplier. Whn you replace it make sure you never use any liquid or spray on the front of the oven, it will slip through the cracks and ruin things. You might also take the unit aprt and look for a fuse, some models have them and others don't. If there is one it will be inside the door next to the touch pad.
