Sorry, best I can tell you is to hold the pieces together and measure the holes both diameter and length. Then go to either your big box or local hardware store and buy the screws and nuts and washers. Of course the screws need to be longer than the holes and purchase Stop nuts (nyloc nuts) so they don't come loose by themselves.
Lowes carries most bolts and barrel nuts. Local small hardware stores may have longer bolts if needed. I sometimes use a bolt specialty business for unique bolts. Most cribs use either a metric set or SAE. If you are replacing the complete set choose whichever is easiest to find. If they bed has glued in threaded nuts go with the matching bolts style, metric or SAE.
Do the bolts have to be allen head (hexhead) bolts, hardware store and match the threads and the length of bolt and switch to say, a phillips or flat head style bolt. Did the CSR at the hardware store NOT try to help you in this way?
Call Combi and explain that the bolt has fallen out and is missing. I am sure they will send you one. Customer service will work for you if you are nice and if all else fails maybe they will sell it to you. Couldn't cost much. Toll Free: (800) 992-6624
I was given a used crib, that i purchased off of craigs list..its missing the bolts and screws...all i know about the crib is that the maker of the crib is made by jenny lynn..Heres my email address if u can help or have any soultions..thanks sherry, [email protected]..
If you have a matching screw/bolt on the crib, take it to a local hardware store. Someone in hardware should be able to match it up for you. If you're a stickler for getting one from the manufacturer, get the contact info from your manual/instructions and request a set of screw from them. I say "set" because manufacturers usually package hardware in sets and you'll be required to purchase a set rather then a single screw/bolt.
We bought a used Jenny Lind crib for our daughter and when we put it together everything is tight but it's not stable. It can be rocked back and forth and we are concerned for the safety of our grandson. We need a parts list and/or instructions to see if there's anything missing.
The above picture is how our Jardine Enterprises crib attaches the mattress support to the frame. I am thinking you need the bolts to make your crib work. And that might be a chore unless you are very handy with hardware. Also, being a new parent ourselves, I would recommend against anything but the safest crib for your child. Call the original owner--see if they can find the bolts/hardware, if not get a complete unit if you can afford it, it may cost more in the short run, but may save a serious injury or worse. Also, if you go the used route see if it has been recalled, you can start here: http://www.thenewparentsguide.com/choosing-a-baby-crib.htm
Try you local hardware store. ACE Hardware or a True Value.
If you think that the parts are repairable you might ask the hardware folks for a glue that will bond that material to itself. Plastic Welder brand glue usually works well for this.
