Unfortunately there is no way to defeat this behaviour. The manufaturers assume that if you are making use of the headphone jack it is because you do not need to make use of the internal speakers. Normally a person will connect headphones because they need to cancel out the noise of the built in speakers due to a need for quiet, or because someone else in the room does not want to hear those speakers. With the headphones on you would not be able to hear the TV's external speakers anyway, so that is why the manufacturers program the headphone jack to work that way.

About the only way to defeat this behaviour would be to get a hold of the TV's schematics, figure out how LG has programmed the behaviour into the TV's circuitry, and then come up with a way to defeat it. Needless to say this would be an expensive proposition, especially if you would have to pay someone else to figure out how to defeat the behaviour.

Why am I not getting sound anymore?

Amplifier issue. See if you are getting audio signal at audio outputs used for recording. If not, then it is NOT the audio amp and the proceeding circuits are responsible.

U might also want to check out your power supply voltages to make sure that the other components are being properly fed.

Sound coming through right headphone, but not through left. Sound also not coming through left speaker. Help?

are you adjusting sound through the windows controller or the application you're playing music through? there are a few things that could affect that, there's also the actual sound setup where you can change your setup i.e. surround sound, single speaker, headphones etc

I have a LG 19LE3300 television and i whant to be able to connect an Infra red headphone while being able to listen by the speakers at the same time. actually when i connect the hearphone it disconnect...

Hi,
First you need to make a test to adjust your headphones wireless system..
.pls follow the step below:
  • "Connect the headphone base" TO " headphones output of TV" with 3.5mm stereo headphone jack cable (than Tv should mute ) Infra red headphone pilot lamp should flicker in parallel to voice coming from TV
  • Infra red headphone should have a rotary adjustment on it.. "Volume" adjustment
  • while TV talking , when you sit in front of the Infra red headphone (it works point-to-point ) you will hear the voice of TV, than adjust volume properly...Thats it..now lets go to second step..
  • Your headphone's Base should either "3.5mm stereo headphone jack" or "RCA Stereo jacks" or "bot"h..After completion of this test ,I recommend you to switch / use "RCA Audio output plugs-white/Red cable " on the back of TV instead of TV's headphone output ,since it mutes the whole sound..RCA output plugs of TV work independently from the TV's master volume control..of course you need RCA cable to connect this..
Hope this helps!..if more help requires pls let me know.
Take care and please

My Sony STR-AV320 spontaniously goes into protect mode

on start up all sony units conduct a speaker inductence capacitance test for integrity regardless of speaker settings, check the rear connections carefull that no stray loose wires are touching at all, the other common fault is the infrared start up circuit has a bad relay op amp and this is due to a broken bad solder joint to truly know you must remove the speakers from the back use only head phones to check for repeated operation, if no problems one speaker at a time is added and retested, slowly many times when the fault appears bang your there, if not off to the shop as the fix is sony based only no diy parts are available since the numbers are epoxyed over speaker wires should always be 14 guage or bigger otherwise troubles with resistence over heating at extended volumes

No sound from wireless headphones in a toyota sienna

First thing to do is check to make sure that the batteries are properly charged.

Second, make sure that you have a clear line-of-site to the IR transmitter. Infrared (IR) works the same way that your TVs remote control works - if the signal is blocked, then you will not hear any sound.

Third, make sure that you are in the rear seat of the vehicle when listening to the sound. The IR transmitter only transmits to the rear seat, so you will not hear any sound if you are sitting in the front seats. This is a common problem that i see.

Lastly, make sure that the heapdhones you purchased are compatible with your 2006 2007 2008 2009 or 2010 Toyota Sienna. Remember that some older models require RF headphones, not IR headphones. I checked http://www.audiovideo2go.com for compatibility before I purchased my headphones. They have a useful listing of all the headphones and models of vehicles they are compatible with.

Problem with speakers, Mac laptop MacBook 13" white

Have you made sure that the sound options in system preferences are all set, and not muted? Open system preferences, choose sound, go to the output tab. Make sure it's not muted or something silly.

If that's not it, and you're mechanically inclined, you can try opening the mac case and see if the speakers are disconnected. Although, I doubt they are unplugged.

SPEAKER ISSUE FIXED !

Sounds like a mechanical issue that hp should fix under warranty. It would be annoying to have to perform surgery every time you want to remove the headphones. Also, if my inderstanding of how these jacks work is correct, it's possible that rapidly plugging and unplugging the headphones could get the audio to go back to the internal speaker. I would suggest getting hp to permanently fix it.
