You have to take the top piece on the left side off w/4 screws. Then there are 2 things that is holding the DM unit in place on the top of it and bottom of it. Take the top one off. This will allow you to remove the DM box. Use like a tackle box or something to hold it up while repairing it. There are some screws that hold the main board in place in the front of it those will need to be removed to allow you to move it out a little.

We lost power the other night. Now I have a continuous green blinking light and it won't turn on. I have tried everything the manual says.

Try Going To The Mitsubishi Web Site. Downloading The Mitsubishi Service Manuals If You Don't Already Have It. It Will recommend The parts You Need To ordering. Circuit board photos are also shown which provide a visual reference during the repair process.

If you decide to have a service technician do the repair, insist that the "DM" module is removed from the TV and ONLY the four 1000uF, 16V Capacitors (Caps) located on the DM Module are replaced. MOST techincians will INSIST on replacing the entire DM Module and not simply the capacitors. The cost is about $200 for a technician to replace the capacitors and $1000 for replacement of the DM Module. As you will read below, doing the repair yourself will cost less than $4.00 for the 4 Caps.

Blinking Green Light on Mitsubishi Projection TV

Continuous blinking green LED on Mitsubishi's Projection which normally blinks after a power surge means that the microprocessors inside the unit are unable to communicate with each other. Usually Mitsubishi's Projection TV use 1000uF/16 in the DM MODULE (which is one of the two microprocessors), as these capacitors are too small for the load they get they usually fail usually after about 3-5 years.

They might also fail due to voltage fluctuations. To resolve this issue these capacitors should be replaced with 1000uF/25 volt or 1000uF/35 volt capacitors, so that they can handle any voltage spikes that will occur. To do the repair you’ll need to take the back off the TV apart in order to remove the faulty DM module and need to desolder the old capacitors on DM board and install new ones. All this is only recommended to be done by someone who has electrical expertise.

I need a dm module \

DM is no longer available from Mitsubishi.

Unit can be removed and sent our for repair----

PTS ELECTRONICS---you will find them on the web and you can call or email for a quote.

Usually there are some caps and or fuses that fail in the DM unit.

Did you try to disconnect front keyboard to make sure it is not the problem?

If this told you something you did not know rate this solution as very helpful as I do this for free.

Flashing power light tv wont come on mitsubishi 1080

If the tv has the continuous flashing led, you have a DM board problem. It is likely bad capacitors in the DM module.. there are 4 of them 1000uf caps that will go bad. They will get a bulging top on them when they go bad. . Mits recommends replacing them with 680uf caps with a comprable or higher voltage rating. The DM module in on the left side of the set (viewed from the back) and is somewhat difficult to remove.

Mitsubishi ED-52631 does not turn on

Hello Getoxygen,

This sounds like a DM problem. To repair this you will have to replace 4 or 7 capacitors (1000uf 35v).
Here are the instructions. Depending on your set this may differ a bit, but the central theme is getting the DM free to be worked on.

This was taken from a TV repair site used by TV technicians.

STEP 1) The DM Module loose. But itcan't be rotate out because of the upper plastic guide.

STEP2) How the DM Module is rotated out of the TV case. Allow thewires
entering the DM Module to be an axis point of the rotation. That way they barely move and don't get snagged or stretched.

STEP3) The DM Module out and the side cover of the metal housing removed.

STEP 4) My setup to do the soldering work.

STEP5) Up Close of the daughter board and the seven capacitors on

STEP 6) The daughter board unscrewed and flippedover where you will be soldering.

STEP 7) The UpperPlastic Guide that must be removed to rotate the DM Module out of theTV set.

STEP 8) Get this wooden horizontal shelf out (4screws) and getting the upper plastic guide out becomes easy.

STEP9) Helpful Hint about the wooden shelf and the platic guide that bothneed to be removed.

Computer codes

p1402 - dm-tl air pump motor is shorted or disconnected.

2000 model year accent is equipped with a new enhanced evaporative emission system. this new system is capable of measuring leaks as small as 0.020" diameter. the new system pressurizesthe evaporative emission system with a diagnostic module for tank leakage (dm-tl), while the previous model's system appliedengine vacuum through the purge valve to detect system leaks.

service information
vehicles that have the check engine light illuminated and have dtc p1401, p1402 and p1403 stored in the ecm should have their electrical systems diagnosed related to the appropriate dtc. these codes are not related in any way to an evaporative emission system leak. the conditions that set the diagnostic codes areas follows:
p1401 - dm-tl air pump motor current draw is higher or lower than expected (normal = 17-36 ma).
p1402 - dm-tl air pump motor is shorted or disconnected.
p1403 - dm-tl changeover valve is shorted or disconnected

perform the suggested repair
1. inspect for water in the dmtl by removing the 90° air inlet elbow and looking into the air chamber. if water or corrosion is present, replace the dm-tl p/n 31440-25500; air filterp/n 31453-25500; and pipe assembly p/n 31454-25500if corrosion is in the pipe. see detailed instructions on page3 for air filter replacement.
2. inspect for underbody coating sprayed into connector m52 at dm-tl. if underbody coating is present on the male or female connector, spray with electrical contact cleaner to remove the undercoating.

air filter (dm-tl) replacement instructions
  1. disconnect the 90° elbow from the top of the dmtl and insert a clean rag into either the elbow or thedmtl inlet connector.
  2. disconnect the dmtl electrical connector.
    1. disconnect the 2 hoses at the front of the canister (caution: silicone hoses tear/puncture easily).
    2. remove canister assembly and dm-tl as a unit (3 mounting nuts).
    3. disconnect the 2 hoses from the metal transfer pipes.
    4. remove the canister, air filter, and metal tube assembly from the canister protector by removing the 3 mounting nuts.
    5. disconnect the hose at the air filter.
    6. remove the air filter mounting nut and remove the air filter.
    7. install a new air filter.
    8. reassemble in reverse order.

Mitsubishi wd-62825 dlp

The WD62825 has a Digital Module located on the left side of the chassis looking at it from the rear of the set. It's housed in a metal box that can slide out of its holder after removing the trim screws.
The module has its own power supply board and there are a group of 16v/1000uf caps on that board which commonly fail causing the constant flashing standby light. Further back on the module is a small board about the size of a matchbook called the E2P module. Its SMT (Surface Mount Technology) caps also commonly fail which can cause the same symptoms. Techs can tell whether the E2P has failed by simply removing it, hooking the DM back up and trying to power the set. If it powers on the picture won't be much good - but at least you can tell what's keeping it down...
Back to the caps on the pwr board. If they've failed they usually will buldge visibly on top. And ESR is almost not necessary. In any event that's the nuts and bolts on this model.
Is it a job for a layman? Yes and no - you might strongly consider a tech if you don't feel comfortable removing all the connections that the DM has with the signal board. There are about six - multi-pin - wired connections to unplug and then sliding the DM out of the unit and carefully removing the screws and latching to take the DM top cover off...
Hope this helps.
