The UPS is either off, has a dead battery or is dead. Does the UPS power anything at the surge only outlets? If it doesn't, it's off or dead. Turn it on and check again.

The Omni 100 VS does not have a user-replaceable battery or other parts. If the battery or UPS is dead, replace it.

I hope this helps.

My electricity went out when I had my window unit on and now my TV won"t come on. My tv is a lil over a year old. Why is this happening

Hi Morris

Am suspecting your electric or power supply.
I need you to try the following steps.
1. unplug all your units or appliances
2. Reset your circuit breaker
3. try to plug your tv only and turn it On, if its turn On, then your tv is Ok
4. You mention window unit, is this aircondition window type?
Now try to plug this window unit and turn it On, if electricity went out again, then the problem is in your circuit breaker.

It could be the specs or rating of your circuit breaker does not much with the rating of your window unit.

Want to reset the v-chip on my 2001orion tv model # 1933

Omni TVs have a child lock that allows parents to prevent children from watching specific channels or television shows with certain ratings. To activate or deactivate the controls, you need the four digit pass code. If you forget the pass code or if the lock gets set accidentally, you can still unlock the TV.
• Use the original Omni remote control to turn on the TV. You need the original remote to bypass the child lock. A universal remote won't work.
Check the screen. If you see a blank screen with a red key on it, press the "Function" and "Mute" buttons at the same time. This unlocks only the channel that is on the TV. All the other channels will remain locked and the TV will lock again when it is turned off.

• Unlock all of the channels on the TV by entering "6688," which is the factory reset code. This code resets the TV to original factory settings. Once this is done, you will have to go through the initial setup.

• Call Omni technical support at (416) 260-0047. A technician can help you troubleshoot the television as the problem may not be the child lock. You'll need to know the model number and serial number of the TV.
•Take your television to a TV repair shop if you are still unable to unlock the TV. The problem may be with the wiring, so the repairman may have to rewire the TV

LG 17LX1R flashing red LED - TV won't power up

Try changing the input device to something you are sure, works such as a DVD player.

Switch off TV manually, switch off power, remove plug and retry after 48 hours.

If problem persists, please refer it to a qualified service technician.

My kid put a plug from the computer no power to it and it just went off it was pluged into the serivce port

It's probably just a fuse.
I don't have a physical layout of that TV inside though so if it's blown, I'd need pics.

Here's the possible good news though.
He may have simply tripped the power supplys' protection circuit.
Unplug the TV for 5 minutes and plug it back in, it may be fine!
It takes a while being unplugged to reset the power supply when that sort of thing happens.

If the TV still won't come on, you'll need to open it up and get some good shots on the power supply board and the board that the service port is on, and of the cable that connects the 2 of them together.
If the pictures are good enough, I can point out where the fuses are.

If the photos are necessary, post a comment or reply here and I'll give you an address to send the photos to.

The LCD display no longer works on my Tripp Lite Omni 1000 LCD. Also, half of the power outlets on the back of the unit no longer work.

Be aware.

My Tripp LIte Omni 1000 LCD almost caught on fire.
I had been experiencing a spike in my power bill to the tune of 1000 Watts an hour for everything running - 24x7. I started the survey of all my equipment; TV 162 Watts; Fridge 228, etc. but none of these devices are on all day and night. I finally mapped out all the outlets and lights and was about to begin the survey. Other than the flickering lights, one big clue was that my TL's lcd was displaying a spike in voltage DOWN to 95 or so, the relay would click, etc.

I decided to begin my survey and use my second TL to help me see which circuit was faulty. When I looked at the LCD, it was blank. I pushed the ON button and all the devices plugged in went OFF and then I saw smoke coming out of the back. I quickly unplugged everything and then watched my meter. When this UPS was plugged in, there was about 1000W used per hour; I monitored it for 10 hours; 400W were used (total).

So... not only was it a fire hazard, but it sucked up 900W or so an hour.
