I have just connected zone 2 speakers on my yamaha rx-v3800, however I can not get any sound to them due to the BiWiring operation being on. (I am running me fronts in bi wire) In order to get sound to my zone 2 speakers I need to manually turn the BiWiring mode off in the advanced operation section at the front of the amp. Can this be avoided? Can I still have biwired fronts and run zone 2 ?

Read up on the myths and legends of bi-wiring (BUY wiring) and redeploy those amps and extra speaker wire to Zone 2 where they'll actually serve an audible purpose.

Zone 2 Setup on the RX-V773 using the ZONE2/PRESENCE Extra Speakers The RX-V773 extra speaker terminals can power one set of speakers for Zone 2 or Presence speakers. To control Zone 2 using the RX-V773 remote, the switch at the upper left side (above the BD/DVD Scene button) of the remote must be set to Zone 2. To see the operations on the front of the Yamaha receiver you must press the Zone Control button on the front of the receiver. Note: Only analog signals can be sent to Zone 2. If you want to output the sound from Zone 2, connect an external component to USB Thumb drive, USB iPhone/iPod, Network, AV 5-6 or Audio 1-2 by analog connection. For AM/FM radio the antennas must be attached.

Yamaha Receiver RX-V3800 Rear Left surround click sound

It's possible it is some sort of interference pickup, but another possible I've come across a number of times on Yamahas is poor earth connections via the back panel.

All the circuit boards have earth connections on them and the screws holding them to the back panel form an earth bonding connection. Tighten all the screws on the back to eliminate this possibility. Costs nothing to try and may just solve it.

How do i connect my yamaha cx-1 preamplifier to my yamaha rx-v3800 av receiver

Multiple speakers on zone 2 0r 3 speaker output terminals

I wouldn't hook anything up except what Yamaha recommends to the speaker output terminals. That's pretty much asking for trouble!

No sound when using Panny plasma with RX-V3800

Let me see if I understand. You have one HDMI cable linking your TV and AVR? This is only to send video and sound out to your TV from the AVR you will not be able to send sound back over this same cable. You'll have to use the TVs audio out and connect it to an input of the AVR. The "HDMI out" on the AVR is just that Out and not In. For more questions I'd recommend checking out the RX-V3800 RX-V1800 thread over on AVSforum.com
