DRVR-B778S (Funai DVD Recorder/VCR Recorder Combo)

I recently unplugged the unit from the power supply. When I plugged the power back on there were some malfunctions on the unit as follows:

When Timer Prog. on the remote is pressed Timer Programme List screen does not appear. Press Timer Prog. button again and unit goes to Standby. Same happens when I press the Setup button, unit goes to Standby.

All other functions such as OTR and Playback are OK.

The only way to reset this unit is only if you control program is working fine and you can navigate on it, because there's a Reset all option there that will bring the unit back to its default settings, but since that control is not wokring, better have this check to a repair center near you and they should be able to diagnose and replace if some parts should be replace..

Good luck.........

You stated having the unit unplugged in your problem description so you did do a reset already and that seems to have caused your problem. Unplugging the machine will probably not resolve your issue then. What does seem to be happening is corruption in the unit's firmware that is crashing it causing it to go into stand-by. Unfortunately I doubt there is any software on the Internet that will allow you to re-flash the machine's firmware. Unless you still have warranty available you will either have to live with it, replace the unit's main board (doubt a replacement can easily be found), or replace it with something new.

You can reset it by unplugging the device into the electrical outlet and leave it unplug for just 1 day, this will remove some save power on the unit and will reset it into default settings...
