I need to know if its possible to unlock my dsi xl if so how? i brought a 20pack of games not knowing about region lock and i cant play any of them please help me?

it might be because you have a DSi, and your sister has a DS or DS lite

if so you cannot play some games because DSi are region locked, basically an US DSi can only play US games, a japanese DSi can only play japanese games etc etc,

DS and DS lite are not region locked and can play any game

Hi here's how you set it up online You must either have an internet access and a wireless router or you can connect your Nintendo DSi. Turn on your Nintendo DSi and click on the wrench icon. This will take you to the system settings
Go to page 3 and select "Internet".
Click "Connection Settings".
Click "None" to the right of "Connection 1".
Click "Search for an Access Point".
Look for an access point that has a gold lock that is unlocked. Select that access point and your Nintendo DSi should now be connected
If you are planning on playing games online with your Nintendo DSi and have WPA security, you will have to set your router to WEP security
To do this, get back to the "Connection Settings" screen mentioned in step 4.
Click "Advanced Setup".
Click any button that says "none".
Click "Search for an Access Point". Look for an access point that has a gold lock that is unlocked. Select that access point and your Nintendo DSi should now be connected.

Turn on the Nintendo DSi then Click on the wrench icon to access "System Settings." Select "Internet" on the third page of System Settings. Select "Connection Settings" and tap the "None" bar in "Connection 1." You have the option of setting up a connection manually, or searching for available connections in the area. A gold, unlocked icon next to the connection's name signifies an unlocked WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy) connection that can be accessed immediately. A locked gold icon signifies an encrypted WEP connection that requires a WEP key (password).
If you are accessing a locked/encrypted connection, enter your WEP key. You may also click "Change Security Settings" to enter a WPA (Wi-Fi Protected Access) key. If your WEP key is correct, your Nintendo DSi should connect. You can test your connection to verify. You're set! Now you can surf the Internet, purchase games and add-ons in the Nintendo DSi Shop, and play games that allow wireless access and competition (with WEP connections, only).
Note Most Nintendo DS and DSi owners can get online by searching for an access point, but some might have to resort to manual setup.The Nintendo DSi can go online with a WPA connection, but actually playing DSi games online requires a WEP connection.

It sounds like it's a DSi game you've bought, correct?
Those are unfortunately (and stupidly IMO) region locked, and you will not be able to run it.
If it is however just a DS game, there's no reason it wouldn't work, that being the case let me know what game it is and I'll see what info I can dig up!

The DSi blocks all flashcards that were released before it. Your card is one of those blocked cards, so you can't do much except return that and buy a DSi-compatible cart online. As for the region, the DSi hasn't been hacked yet so region changing isn't possible at the moment.

sounds like another new thing nintendo have done to screw us all up, i would suggest a dstt cart or r4 cart or summit but they dont support them eaither! either back to the shops 4 money back then buy in europe or wait until they bring thr dstt or r4 or n5 crt out which supports the dsi and go from there.

if its in a region lock, its impossible to be played on a American PS2, if your PS2 is modded it will read any region locked discs, the only possible solution is to buy a Japanese Version PS2
