Wherever your fan and vent is located the processor will be next to it, but beware as laptops are not as easy to upgrade processor wise as a desktop is.

I forgot the password to my old hp pavilion ze4200 laptop. i cant enter windows. how can i restore my computer?

Not sure if your talking about a windows operating system password or a BIOS password that comes up when you first turn it on but either way, as soon as you turn on the laptop, keep pressing the f11 key and it should bring you into the HP Factory Restore. If it doesn't then you'll need a windows cd to restore your laptop back to factory defaults and then load the drivers and any software you'll use on the laptop.
Keep in mind if you have a BIOS password then you'll need to call HP to get help in removing that.

My HP pavilion ze4200 has a password on bios and i forgot what password i have put on it.

usually you can removed a lower cover and unplug the little battery to clear the bios password. you may have to search for the battery its either on the bottom or under the keyboard.
Be careful not to rip a ribbon cable opening it up

HP Pavillion ze4200 BIOS password, can't boot laptop

Thats a problem..... I think only HP tech support can help. The only thing you can
do is contact them or replace the bios password chip... but then maybe the harddrive
has a password also

Hp pavilion ze4200 blue leds come on then does nothing

You will either have to check the RAM of your system or the display.

To checkout the RAM, open up a cover underneath your computer with a single screw( that usually is in the middle of the computer). It contains RAM modules. Press the RAM modules so that they get fixed.

Do this and see if it works.

1. It looks like a battery problem!

2. Plug in your laptop to fully recharge the battery!

3. After 3-6 hours, try to start your system!

4. You can also check by changing the power jack / socket!

5. Is the battery light On / blinking ?

HP Pavalin ZE4200 goes into continous memory check on boot. I have two memory cards and have tried booting with only one card at a time in both memory slot to no avail.

Sounds like you may be lil confused. The chkdsk that keeps coming up on boot ,is telling you a hard drive has errors ,best reolaced.
