How do you reset the parental lock passcode on a Sony DVP-FX810 Portable DVD Player? I entered the passcode while my son was living with me for this year, but it is his mothers year to keep him, he left the DVD player and I FORGOT the code. I see no reset hole that you like put a toothpick in or no master reset option or whatever. How do you reset it?

Fortunately Sony built in a default password for occasions such as yours. The procedure is laid out on page 45 of your manual. Follow these steps to make use of the built in password:

1) Go to the Parental settings on your menu and choose PASSWORD.

2) input "136900" in the box marked "Old Password".

3) Enter a new password in the "New Password" box. Enter the same password in the "Verify Password" box then press Enter to confirm.

You should now be able to use the new password that you setup above.
