I have a Toshiba Satellite L455D-S5976 and it has been working fine, but when we tried to use it today the Toshiba screen comes up and then afterwards the screen goes black with a flashing dash....it will not let you enter anything and so we tried to restore it and it acted like it was going to start and then gave the error f3-f100-0005...what does this mean and how can we fix the problem?

I have a toshiba L455D-S5976 and it has a vertical blue line down the screen i dont know what to do can you please help

This more than likely means your screen or video card has gone bad. You should take it to a computer shop and let them determine which is bad. There is nothing software wise you can do to fix this problem.

My screen only shows half of the computer and there are different colors of lines on the bottom half. i have tried rebooting my pc but it does not help at all its been like this ever since i left it open...

Sounds like the screen has gone bad.... but could be the graphics card. Try an external monitor. If the external monitor is OK, then the screen is bad. If the external monitor also bad, then the on-board graphics card is bad.

Good luck, Jim
