Is it a noise like nails on a chalk board if so your heating element could be hitting the back side of your dryer and making a clicking noise or scratching sound does it heat and dry the same

It is a machine moving parts will make noise actuator shift will make a click and when washing you will have a wining noise
that is normal full loads will be quieter

First, have you replaced any carpeted surfaces in your home? If so that will make a big difference noise wise. If not-
Let me guess, the washer is a few years old. When the Cabrio first came out I sold them and I bought one. As long as you can stand the noise use it for as long as you can. The problem is the drive shaft wasn't made sturdy enough to handle the load at such a high spin. If you look underneath the washer you will probably find a oily substance, if not you still may have some time left. Take an old piece of carpet or throw rug and slide it underneath that may mellow out the '757 jet' noise a little bit. The parts and tools to repair the drive shaft only runs around a $100, but the labor takes 2 men and is super intensive. The repair bill more than likely will run between $450-$550. If you love your Cabrio as much as I did, the good news is Whirlpool has remedied the problem on MOST of their newer models (do some research). I haven't worked in the appliance business for a few years, but would I buy another Cabrio? I already have.

The Cabrio unfortunately has many problems. Your problem however is the four suspension rods. If you know someone who is handy it's not that bad to do yourself. Just need a little patience. There are two clips just between the top panel and the front panel. Use a screw driver and a flashlight to see the clips. Then using the screw driver, push in on the clips to lift the entire top panel. This can be difficult. Once open you should be able to see the four rods that support the tub. That's what you need. I am not a repair professional. I am just a 78 year old man who has been making his own repairs for about 50 years. If you google whirlpool cabrio error code F51, you'll get an idea of what you are up against. This is obviously a manufacturer's defect. They should take care of this problem whether you are in warranty or not. If you are insistent, maybe they will. Contact whirlpool directly if you're not satisfied by your local service people. This is not a DIY job.

it is the bearing, call 1800-905-9505 and ask for a service smart agreement cost about 200 and it will cover your washer for 1 year parts and labor and the machine will get fixed
