The PB-250 will not start. It was purchased last year and used little. I have fresh gas and a new properly gaped OEM plug. I do have spark. The spark plug is wet with fuel. Can one flood the engine by pushing the fuel bulb to many times? If I dump the gas out of the tank will there still be old gas in the carb? But started it earlier this Spring to see if it would run. Then my wife tried to start the blower later in the Spring and now it won't start. Is there warranty on the wife?

Check the outlet port on the piston for grooves, there may be loss of compression, also piston clamps with heat by fuel and / or possible adjustment problems by emission limitation applied on L + H adjustment

It is very easy to flood this item mind you its easy to flood all petrol trimmers. If plug is wet simply turn the switch to off and pull cord at least 15 times you should get the engine to start coughing keep pull cord but do not turn the petrol on do not prime it either. It should catch. If it does not push the primer once and pull cord

SOURCE: I have a Echo PB/251 Gas Blower which I recently

Check the muffler and/or spark arrestor screen in the muffler outlet pipe and also the engine's exhaust port behind the muffler. These are prone to carbon-clogging and the engine cannot "BREATHE" enough to reach full throttle. If all-clear in the muffler, go back in the carb and locate the inlet screen directly opposite of the inlet needle. Carefully pull it out with a pick and hold it up to a light source. If you cannot see thru it, replace it. This is another, (less) common area of obstruction.

Hope this helps,
Dolf-

SOURCE: brand new echo pb-251 blower, used it 3 times for

you can thank the EPA for your blower problem the EPA makes all brands of lawn equipent "tamper proof" with plugs and limit caps. not just echo......when we service an echo piece of equipment we let it "break" in and adj the carb as needed BEFORE it leaves my shop. dont hesitate to bring it back to the dealer, if they are reputable, they will do the adj while you wait......hope this helps. good luck

SOURCE: ECHO PB-250 blower new used one time carb.needs

Your machine has a rotary-valve diaphragm type carburetor. These carburetors typically only have an adjustment for the IDLE speed with an available option to control the main jet with an adjustable mixture needle.

http://www.echo-usa.com/Products/Blowers/PB-250

Here is the info on the Zama rotary-valve diaphragm carburetor.

http://www.zamacarb.com/prodlist.html#RB

Some have a small adjustment needle in the center pivot of the rotory part, under a brass plug...but most have nothing. Many end users and techs are complaining about the non-adjustable carbs. They are made this way to meet the more stringent EPA emissions codes that are getting tougher each year.

My mower wont start

If it has been sitting for a year ... and you did not change or stabilize the gasoline ... then get some fresh gasoline and try it again. The light ends of the gasoline which help on initial ignition have vaporized off over the last 12 months. No amount of cranking will start it. Get fresh gas.

I have a Polaris trailblazer 250 two-stroke and It will not start with the pull cord

test spark plug or replace w/good new gaped correctly. gas mixed correctly and in good condition. kill switch off ? key on? fuel **** on? if spark goo can use starting fluid in carb air intake. use sparingly !!! should fire with starting fluid. they dont like cold weather to well from my experiances. if you got good compression and good fuel and spark it will start w/start fluid just use very much at a time. plug fouled i bet.

I cant get it to start. The primer bulb wont refill with gas

The bulb pulls fuel from the carb into the bulb and back to the tank, if the bulb does not fill it is because there is a fuel blockage, either in the fuel filter in the tank, or the screen in the carb itself.

I have a L120. Up to a week ago I had no problems starting. It cranks fine but won"t turn over. Full service was done a year ago. Thanks Tom

Here are some of the questions that we need answers to: 1 What engine is in your tractor?
2. How long has it been since you last ran it?
3. Did you leave fuel in the tank and/or carburetor over winter?
4. Have you checked the obvious: fresh fuel in tank? gas shutoff valve open? any loose wires? is there spark at the plug? is the air filter clean? is the spark plug clean and properly gaped?
5. When it last ran, did it run okay?
6. When it cranks, does it seem to be at a normal crank speed, or does it just turn over s-l-o-w-l-y?
From what little you told, my guess would be that you left gasoline in the carburetor over winter, and your carburetor is gummed up.

Am unable to start the mower despite new spark plug, new filter & fresh oil. Unfortunately I don't think I used all of last year's gas, although the mower acted like it was out of gas when I let run...

Do you have an in line fuel shut off that you turned off last year and forgot to turn on???
Try and remove the fuel line from the carb. If gas flows out you are getting fuel to the carb.If the above 2 items are ok the problem is in the carb..
I would try next to check for spark. Remove the spark plug and set it on the engine block or any metal. attempt to start , crank the engine . Is there spark?? If not and it is a lawn mower follow the spark plug wire back under the coverThe othe r end is connected to the coil/magneto Replace it . When replacing it ,you will have to gap the space between the coil and the flywheel. I use a business card.
If you have a tractor and no spark make sure the safety sw.s are working properly. Seat sw., brake/glutch sw?,deck sw. engage sw. be fore you change the coil/magneto.
On lawn mowers sometimes mice get in under the cover and nest. they will chew the spark plug/coil; wire.

My snow thrower has been sitting for 4 years and i tried to start it last night and it would not turn over. any suggestions on how to get this started?

Drain and change the oil. Gasoline starts to deteriorate after 30 days and by 4 years it is unusable. Purchase a new spark plug, can of Seafoam Motor Tune and a can of starter fluid. Remove all the gasoline from the fuel tank. Remove the float bowl and clean it out. Replace the float bowl & turn the fuel supply on. Fill the tank with fresh fuel. Pour the proper amount of Seafoam in the tank as listed on the directions on the can. Remove the spark plug and spray inside the cylinder with a small amount of starter fluid. Install the new spark plug. Now start the engine. You may have to remove the spark plug and do this again. eventually it will start and run. If it does not, you may have to dissemble the carburetor and clean it out.

Ryobi 33cc wont start

Assuming you still have evidence of fuel in the cylinder after carb work; and still have visible spark across the plug, I would install a new spark plug. It is fairly common for a spark plug to cease working under pressure in a cylinder while appearing ok outside of the engine.

Echo pb-413 leaf blower not running properly

It doesn't appear to be getting enough fuel. Unscrew the "L" and"H" screws about an 1/8 to 1/4 turn. Also at the end of the season run it completely out of gas and you shouldn't have anymore carb problems.
