My glass plate broke a very long time ago. you don't really need it. take a regular ceramic plate and turn it UPSIDE DOWN Then you can set anything on top of it to cook. Just a thought and Good Luck.
If you have other microwave problems check the videos below.
I have no idea what you're talking about. Glass top plates? In a microwave oven? All I know is the glass turntable tray. And if it's not turning around, you either have that feature turned off (a dedicated button on the control panel), or else the turntable motor is bad.
Look at the owner's manual of similar Kenmore models there does not seem to be a setting that allows you to turn off the turntable. However if your microwave (sorry but I couldn't find your exact model number online) has the time of carousel that has a lift out glass plate with a notch (hub) in the center of the bottom side then you effectively turn of the carousel my removing this glass plate. (see pg 4 of the manual - above link) You can place a normal microwave safe plate in the microwave in it's place. Make sure to leave the rollers in place...just remove the turntable.
hmmm? me's thinking about this one!!!!
the glass plate has drive dogs on the bottom of it, that fit into drive dogs on the turn table, if its not meshed up right it just spins freely and normaly throw's the glass plat off??? are the bearing that are under the glass plate turning freely? thats the big ring that the plate rides on near the out side edge of the plate, and can be taken out for cleaning??? it looks like a hoop with 3 or 4 rollers in it??? if you forgot to put this bit back in the right way up after cleaning it thats the problem???
