It don't work like that. Each individual head unit has a seperate PIN code. Best bet is to get the serial number from your unit. Located on top or back of it, and call Kenwood direct with the serial the serial number, they have all codes on file, they can help. Here are the numbers
Kenwood Australia - 1800 126 659
USA - 1-800-KENWOOD (536-9663
Scroll down to page 15 on this link i gave you. If you removed the factory stereo, don't throw away the connector that plugs in to the back of the factory radio. Go to wal mart or any car audio install shop and buy yourself the wiring harness for your particular model car and year, it will definitely save you a headache due to the fact that some car wiring systems are wired differently and are somewhat complicated at times.

i would go to walmart and get a wire connector to fit the plug so you don't have to cut the wires that way if you need to put factory back in nothing is cut
Turn on the car so the radio is flashing "Protect." Look on the front / removable face of the stereo. On it you will find a small round hole - that's a reset button. Find a small paper clip, unfold the clip and stick it gently into the hole. The "Protect" will stop flashing, and Kenwood will be displayed. Unfortunately all your settings/presets will be gone, but at least the stereo is working again!
