The file size of a picture depends on the resolution you choose and the complexity of the scene. A picture of blue sky has a smaller file size than a picture of autumn leaves. If the Pictures Remaining number does not change when you take a picture, it generally means that the picture does not take up sufficient memory to decrease the number. This is normal. The number is not a count of consecutive pictures; it is counting available space - the approximate number of pictures remaining.

Display of remaining pictures remains 9999 no matter what size stick is in the camera

If you have a large Gb card and you have set your camera to the lowest resolution, 9999 is the highest the available frame count will go up to. You may well be able to shot more images than 9999 on low resolution. Try setting the camera to the highest resolution and see if the available no. of shots changes. You should also note that the available no. of shots left is only an approximation.

The remaining picture counter stays at 999

The maximum number of remaining shots that the display can show is 999.
If the memory card has space for more than 999 pictures, the number will stay at 999 till less than 999 remain and it will start counting down from there.

Pictures are already deleted but camera space is still full

Format the memory stick using the camera's "Format" command. You should NEVER use the computer to delete your pictures.

My camera is a PowerShot A460. It can take pictures but all white

It looks like you took pictures on Manual mode and didn’t set the Exposure Compensation and Shutter speed properly. If you can get good pictures on Auto mode, your camera is ok.

Redish tint on pictures

your printhead needs to be replaced because, most likely, the jets that shoot the ink got blocked because of the remaining ink from your last printing session.

Just go ahead and go to kodak.com/go/itg , follow the troubleshooting and have your printhead replaced, or call their support center on 1 800 421 6699, and have them help you out.

The "picture remaining" number on the display panel does not decrease after you take a picture or record a message. Why?

The camera is operating correctly. The total number of pictures you can store depends on your pictures' content and messages' length. So the number doesn't always change, especially when you're using standard image quality.
