1. You may have malware on your Internet Explorer- Even if you do not have IE as default it still coded with Messenger. Start trouble shooting with a cleaning browser download "ccleaner" and use it daily. Run it through a couple of times, using the factory settings and the "analyze" control to see the files offered up for cleaning. Use 'Run Cleaner' to delete these files and then run 'Analyze' again to ensure all files are deleted
Run the 'Registry' from the left hand toolbar but 'Save' any changes after opting to 'repair' errors.Never make changes to your Registry without saving the information.

Save the notepad on your Desktop as .........cache.bat...... the (.) is important between cache and bat.
Make a Restore Point
If you have XP double click on it to run it
If you have Vista or Win 7 right click on it and 'Run as Administrator'
3) Check your Internet Security Zones in IE
Internet Explorer > Internet Options > Security (tab)
You should have 4 Security Zones showing - Internet - Local Intranet - Trusted Sites and Restricted Sites
If you have additional to these you have Malware
If you have malware you will have to edit your Registry
Make a restore point ( to allow you to restore any edits made )
Hold down the 'Windows key' (It's on the bottom row of the keyboard and has a flag ) and press R
type in ..........regedit ..........and click OK
Navigate to the IE Security Zones
> HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Microsoft > Windows > CurrentVersion > Internet Settings > Zones
Depending on your OS you will have an arrow or a boxed + to the left of the folder headers - click on this to expand the folder
When you reach Zones you should see 5 items
0 Computer (not shown in IE by default)
1 Internet
2 Local Intranet
3Trusted Sites
4 Restricted Sites
Delete any rogue entry
Restart your Computer
