I dropped my Kodak EasyShare C140 today and now I have a lens error 1111. What do I do to fix it?

With a little prodding, the lens was fixed.. I had to push the part that extends when the camera is turned on into place two times. It works perfectly now (:

Unfortunately, many cameras that fall prey to lens error problems can only be corrected by professional repair. But, here are some last resort troubleshooting steps that you can try that may correct it. They only seem to work for less than 40% of the lens errors, but if the camera is out of warranty (or repair cost approaches that of the camera), they're worth that try.

Good job, now in the future, remember to use your lens strap when handling your camera.

Maximum memory capacity in Kodak EasyShare C140

The C140 works with SD and SDHC cards, up to 32GB in size. By swapping memory cards, you have essentially unlimited memory capacity.

You may use any brand SD/SDHC cards, though personally I would stick with the major brands.

Lens error.102 showes up when turned on

Lens errors are fairly common. Usually it's sand or grit interfering with the lens extension mechanism. Or the camera's been dropped with the lens extended. My daughter's Kodak easyshare c613 gives lens error 415, 1, 1, 102 and the zoom in function doesn't work. Can we fix this?

In my experience when there is a 'lens error' there is internal damage perhaps from dropping the unit and it is fixable only by the Kodak.com website's authorized service center.

When I turn the camera on, the lens won't open. I can review pics I have taken, but cannot take new ones.

its a problem with your lens cover shutter on the upper face of the lens. Get it repaired in some Kodak service center.
