Puchased my Uniden Cordless Phone about 5 yrs. ago; never used - am older lady-not good at electronics. I need to hear my two messages on my vm -- but don't know how to do - lost User Manual. On bottom of unit where it notes Model Number, there are two numbers:
on left side: DC7758-2
on right side: 39480108

Press MUTE. The system announces the number of new and old messages, then starts to play the messages unless it has no messages. Press 5 to stop the announcements or message playback. You will hear intermittent beeps indicating that the system is in the command waiting mode. Press 8 to start the recording. The system announces, Record greeting. Begin recording after the announcement. When you finish recording, press 8 again or press 5. You will hear a confirmation tone, and your recorded greeting plays back for you.
It is voice mail and some time you checked voice mail on your cordless phone but light will keep flashing that you need to check your voice mail. if it does not fixed then You need to also delete the voice mail from any voip device and it should turn off blinking lights and will clear vm message.
You need to make sure the phone is on the cradel half on half off is not the units fault its the users, in saying the the unit will charge the battery if you dod not kiill it already, leave the phone on the cradel if that does not charge the battery a nice day trip to radioshack for a new battery might be what you have to do, Sorry to hear you misfortuens with uniden there a good company but make things that people just do not understand.
All electronics parts carry metal/other elements of some kind. There can be lead, gold, mercury, etc. I would suggest trying to get the electronics out somehow and get the water tested. Personally, I wouldnt drink the water until the parts are removed and the water was tested. I am very carefull when health is concerned.
push the mute button on your cordless uniden phone,and you will see the number 5 come up on the phone display.then hit the number 6 and when you hear it begin to beep record your message
