Hi , i have a delta pull down spout that leaks half of the water that should go out from the head shower. I dissembled the spout and noticed what i think is the "O" ring has an hole and part of it is starting to crack. The O ring is white and has approximately the size of a quarter. Is this part sold alone without the need to go buy the entire spout? thanks.

You can take the part to your local Ace or True Value hardware store or Home depot or Lowe's and find something close that will work. Bring the whole part with you. Buy a few sizes that or close just in case, they are very inexpensive.

I have a delta single handle tub fixture the shower diverter pops out all the time

Hi Jeff sorry about your problem. Just wanted to ask about what you mean pops out. When you try to get water to the shower head the spout "pops out" and water just goes back to the tub? If this is the case it sounds like your diverter on the spout has failed. I favor the Delta one that you have to pull the chromed plastic area where the water discharges instead of the one with the knob you have to pull up to get it to divert the water to the shower head.
These both are available at your local plumbing supply store not the big box store always but I have noticed them at the HD in Honolulu. I hope this helps if not a photo goes a long way. Dave.

There should be a dirverter on the tub spout. It will be either a knob to pull up or a ring to pull down on and hold untill the water comes out the shower head.

If there is no dirverter go buy a new tub spout with one.. The prior owners may have installed the wrong spout.

We have Delta brand tub/shower fixtures, the one handle kind. The problem is that water comes out of both the tub faucet and the shower head, even though the shower is not turned on. This happens every...

You need to replace the tub diverter/spout. There are two kinds, I hope you have the kind with
an allen head set screw on the bottom side of the spout near the shower wall. These are super
easy to replace ! Loosen the set screw, twist the spout a little and it should slide off. When installing
the new spout, smear some vaseline on the copper pipe sticking out, this will help seal the new O rings in the spout.

The other kind of spout has pipe threads in it. They can be a little more tricky. I got called to a
house one time. The plastic female threads on the spout cracked when the plumber installed it.
The water ran down the inside of the wall and did damage down stairs. The leak could not be seen
until the sheet rock down stairs fell down from being soaked. You need to put some pipe dope on the threads, then tighten the spout on by hand, so as not to scratch it with a pump pliers.

I hope this helps !

One of 2 things is happening. Either the o-ring is shot, or you have a hairline fracture of the plastic around the brass adapter. The o-ring is a #18, but if there's a crack in the plastic you'll need to replace the spout.

Just installed a waterpic shower head, half the water comes out of faucet and half the shower head, any solutions?

If your tub spout has a knob that you lift to divert the water to the waterpic then replace it with a Delta service part #RP17453 pull down spout. It always sends 100% of the water to the shower head and will always snug tight to the wall.

Delta T13090 faucet shower head working at the same time.

The only possible explaination is that the water is finding it easier to go up than down. Water is lazy, just like me. ;)

Use an allen key to remove the tub spout. It's underneath and awkward. Once the allen key is loose, the spout just slides off. Try running the water. This may solve your problem and all you'll need is a new tub spout. If not.....

Turn the water off to the house.

Use an allen key to remove the handle.

Use a phillips to remove the trim plate (2 screws). Cut the silicone around the trim if it's there (which, in a proper installation it shouldn't be, but...)

Unscrew the nut (usually chrome) holding the cartridge into the brass body of the valve. The cartridge pulls straight out. Check for restriction in the ports of the cartridge itself. Check for restriction in the line going down to the tub spout. If you can't find anything, replace the cartridge.

Reassemble & Enjoy!

Water only comes out shower head, won't come back out faucet. The shower plunger only puts water out shower head, not out faucet.

sounds like the diverter is jamed. it may be in the spout or a button in the escheuchon. if spout try to unjam the pull up knob or the pull down ring. if in the escheuchon remove part and replace.
