Hi there! You can easy check if the front door sensor is broken.Open the front door at look for a little hole in the right or left.In that hole you should see little metal lever.Take something thin and long and carefully push that lever. It should make a "click" sound. If the printer detects that the lever has been pushed down the message should go away.In that case the plastic that is located on the front door is broken and can`t push down the metal lever.Even after pushing down the lever the message is there, you need to open the printer and check if the sensor is working fine.If the sensor is working, then you have problem with your DC board and you need to replace it, which will cost you allot of money and time:D.So please replay if you have any other questions about something.Thank you for using Fixya.com!!!

Hp cp3505 13.20.00 error

I'd recommend doing a thorough search with a flash light. You also might need to do some minor dis assembly to find pieces of paper. Another suggestion is to clean the paper path sensors with canned air. Lastly check all pick up rollers and make sure they are textured and have no smooth or bald spots. #1 cause of jams is bad rollers.

Have been receiving a DOOR OPEN message when I try printing (usually after changing a printer cartridge on a HP C6180 Photosmart printer). There is no door open. The cartridges are properly seated, and...

Hi injkretz,

The "door open" message will only appear when the front door is open or if something is wrong with the sensor and sensor flag.

The door sensor is visible when the door is open -- located on the left side of the opening, just about an inch below a silver screw head. (kind of hard to describe where it is.) The sensor is a black horizontal bar. If you see it, try pressing it in with something thin like a paper clip. Press the sensor in about a 1/2". If the "door open" message goes away, then you know your sensor is good. Next look to see where the sensor flag is located on the back of the door. Again, it's on the left side toward the top of the door. The flag is simply a section of plastic that sticks out far enough to engage the sensor.

Hope this helps.

How to change toners on 3505 printer

Open the front door (above the HP logo, not below it) and you should see your toner cartridges. If you see only black ETB unit, pull it just like you pulled the door, sometimes it stays in that position. Now you should definitely see your cartridges.

HP PSC 2210 has the error message 'Open Door, Clear Carriage Jam, and then Press Enter'. No paper jams present?

Check door for paper stuck in front of sensor. There is a door in the back look to see if paper shred is in there infront of the back door sensor.

Cp 2025 cartridge tray is jammed into printer.

If the tray is visibly damaged there is not much to do and service is required, you can try to remove the carriage but this would void your standard warranty, your best bet here is taking the printer to an authorized support provider near you, you can find the closest one to you on the hp website or call hp's tech support.
