Hi - it seems likely the moisture sensor unit is faulty, reason?
Well Miele dryers after you start up will actually try to work out the amount of moisture in the dryer, it will calcualte the time & temp required to correctly dry the load in the machine. I suspect the sensor is not functioning proper.
I will assume there are no messages or other indications or flashing lights on the right side of the knob - it would be nice to plug my laptop to it and find out for sure..
You have cleaned the heat exchanger unit in the bottom corner of the dryer, the filter in the door and the two on the bottom of the door opening..
Despite all of these I would lean on the faulty sensor as the most likely culprit.
You may have to locate the nearest Miele service agent to help you out...
cheers
My Miele T294C Novotronic tumble did exactly the same thing for months , with me having to restart every few minutes, though now it runs and runs without any real heat! I am contemplating paying miele £200 to come and fix it and give a further 12 months guarantee , do you think this is money well spent cosidering you can get a new tumble dryer (not miele obviously) with a 2 yr guarantee for this money?
Thx in advance
Hi,
My Miele T294C is also doing the same thing. I've cleaned the filters and done everything I can but now I'm going to have to call in an engineer to fix. Disappointed after spending extra on a Miele because of it's reliability.
petesparks - did you get yours fixed in the end?
No , its been the washing line for the summer!
Still waiting for a reply from the experts if they think £200 is good value or not?

Hi If you know how to find the moisture sensor, test it for continuity. If it is ok. You might also want to give the machine inside of the dryer a good clean and a scrub with something slightly abrasive to remove the build up of chemicals/oxide over the years. You see the vanes inside the drum and the drum itself are part of an electrical feedback circuit that gets completed by the wet clothes. As the clothes dry-out less current passes throught this circuit (which includes the moisture sensor) and eventually the current ceases to flow and the moisture sensor detects no moisture therefore stops the dryer!
kind regards, Wasim. NL.

Hi brendwatt10 - this is an odd one but Im thinking with the Mieles, load washing siwtch on - it starts and takes a little time to sort out the humidity of the load and sort of calculates the time / heat time etc etc.
It is possible that the machine is think there is no load, it could also be the moisture sensor is faulty.
I am somewhat puzzeled you don't get a fault error code.. so I tend to suspect the moistuer sensor is the problem.
Cheers
