Question about Gigabyte GA-8I848P-G Motherboard

My problem with the Gigabyte GA-8I848P-G Motherboard is when i press the power button I do not hear the speaker beep I also do not see the display on my monitor screen after a few seconds my cpu is automaticaly turns off .... . I tried a tips, 1st - Run the motherboard with power supply, processor and memory only, I do not hear the beep of the speaker is continue running. NO automatic shutting down ... 2nd - I tried adding AGP VIDEO CARD ONLY on the motherboard then I run again. Result, its automatic shutting down. I tried to replace the other video card, so still automatically shutting down .... 3rd-adding HD, CD ROM, LAN CARD, AUDIO CARD. I run again without AGP VIDEO CARD ... I do not hear the beep of the speaker is continue running. NO automatic shutting down. I think AGP slot is defective. OTHER IDEA? PLZ HELP ME AGAIN ..

Hi, what you have not tested for isolation is your power supply, re-seating of processor for 20 minutes, cmos clearing or battery removal and mother board swapping. If all your isolation seems futile the worst is the mother board.

Dear, If you have checked power supply, memory and cmos then there is problem in your motherboard its not giving display. check your motherboard warranty and replace it.

Scanning BIOS Image in Hard Drive


Your BIOS to your GA-8I848P-G Motherboard would be flashable to the BIOS chip on the Board it's self. Make sure you read Gigabytes BIOS flash instructions. If the board is up and running Windows, then Gigabyte has there LIVE BIOS update you can run from there website!

Sata is not read


when tour turn on your PC try to press F2 or DELETE you will enter the BIOS setup for your motherboard and then try to press the F9 button to restore default than save the configuration.by press F10 butoon

Monitor is not on


Im gonna take it that "yup i'm hear the any beep" means you do hear a beep.

So first If it has an onboard vga card. remove the second vga and hook the monitor up to the onboard and try to boot.

Second try the Power Supply, make sure whatever power supply you use has enough to handle all the equipment in the unit.

If those two don't solve the problem, then you have a bad motherboard.

Computer wont Boot up normaly


first romove the power cable. then remove the ram, then remove the agp or pci express if you have. Then adds this thing together. add power cable.

Start the computer.

GA-8I848P is dead


did this happen all of a suddent? it was normal or you tried something in your board and it did not work later?

when you turn on the power does the power led lits? the system/cpu fan rotates?
