Can not get drivers for c653 kodak easy share camera

  • kakima Jun 21, 2011

Do you really need a driver? The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

Kodak Easy Share C653 question

As a wild guess, are both of your new memory cards larger than 2GB?

The C653 works with MMC and SD cards. If you new cards are larger than 2GB then they're actually SDHC cards. While they fit into the slot they are electronically incompatible and will not work. You need to use cards 2GB and smaller.

I have a Kodak Easy Share (c653) digital camera . I forgot to put my memory card in it when I took some pictures. I have pictures on my card as well. How can I transfer the pictures on the internal memory...

You can view/download the user guide at
http://support.en.kodak.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/18741/selected/true

If you have enough room on the memory card, you can copy the pictures from the internal memory onto the card and then download them to your computer all at one time. If you don't have enough room on the card, you can download the pictures on them to your computer, then clear the card by formatting it, and then copy the pictures from the internal memory to the card for downloading.

If you just want to copy pictures between the internal memory and the memory card, here's the appropriate page from the user guide referenced above:

I accidentally got camera wet.The lens won't retract & it won't turn on.Is there a fuse that can be changed to fix issue?Kodak Easy Share C653 6.1 mp.

There is no fuse in this unit. The main circuit board is probably fried. All the capacitors and resistors are most likely burnt out. You can test with an ohmmeter to see if there are any with a low or now reading. Then you will need to go to shopjimmy.com and get new ones then solder them in.
