Recently I ordered a Plantronics SP 05 from Ebay. My problem is the headset will not not fit properly into the base. The seller insist that it came this way and now I need some help to figure this out.

Plantronics makes an adjunct device that attaches to the telephone base (Velcro) and can lift the handset when the button on your headset is pressed. Unfortunately that's the only way to directly integrate the Plantronics (or any other brand) headsets with the Mitel 4XXX series phone. This handset lifter is actually bundled with some of the SAVI headsets, depending on the actual model you get. Separately it's about an additional $50 option. I recall the Plantronics part number is HL-10. Hope this helps.
Here's a couple of other reminders: Pay close attention to placement of
lifter under the handset for proper fit and also how the tape sticks to
the phone. Make sure the cord is plugged completely into the base of the
wireless headset (needs a good contact). For height adjustment, medium
and high work best (the low setting is pretty useless).
Try re-pairing the headset to the Plantronics 500A base unit, it sounds
like the headset may have lost connection with the base. Here is the

Unplug the AC power from the Plantronics 500A base, leave it unplugged
at least overnight if possible, no lights should be illuminated on the
base. Then plug the power back in, charge the headset, and try
re-pairing
the headset to the Plantronics 500A base unit. Here is the

to pair your Plantronics headset with your phone. Enable blue tooth on phone, push power button on headset and hold (make it flash between blue and red). You then have 2 or 3 minutes to type in the 0000 passcode to sink them. It really does work (tech support from Plantronics told me how to do this).
