Hi,

You can click here for the GigaByte Warranty RMA page, however, GIGABYTE recommends for customers to first contact their vendors for faster replacement or refund transactions. If experiencing difficulties in warranty service through your dealer or place of purchase, GIGABYTE will attempt to resolve this issue.

Regards,
G33k

You can check the Gigabyte website for warranty information. Normally new motherboards come with a 1 year warranty.

To replace it, remove all the pc cards and connectors. Remove the screws that secure the motherboard. Move the processor and heat sink to the new motherboard. Install the motherboard and then all the PC cards and connectors.

When i open it said time off day clock stopped

Problem is with either the CMOS Battery or the Motherboard.

You can reset the CMOS battery.

You can replace the CMOS battery but if laptop is under warranty request for the Motherboard to be replaced.

If laptop is no longer under warranty I would suggest ask a local technician to have the CMOS battery replace which is less costly than replacing the motherboard.

Hope this helps.

Computer won't charge the new battery and can only be used while plugged in. Replaced charger as well....no luck.

It is the charging circuit on the motherboard that is the problem, a closer inspection of the motherboard is recommended.

Restart the pc.

Jitendra, If the warranty of the motherboard is three years and it was bought a little over two years back then the warranty still stands. You must insist on the dealer replacing the MB or repair it at least. Do not take his word and come to Fixya. We will help you but, then the warranty may become null and void. Think about it. The dealer will always want to not see you again for this motherboard. But, please remind him of three yrs warranty. If it does not work the you are welcome to ask us for solutions and we will be glad to help you.

I have an Acer Aspire AM1640-B1408A with a blown motherboard (according to one of my local computer expert shops). Where would be the best (inexpensive) places to purchase a new motherboard and what model...

replacing the motherboard involves disconnecting the dvd drive, card reader, usb, power suppy, power switches, and removing the cpu chip. then all that has to be replaced. if it is still under warranty i would suggest getting them to fix it as if you fix it yourself while under warranty you could void the warranty

I need to replace the motherboard in a hp dv9025us what do you recomend for a replacement

Hi:
I am not sure what was wrong with your original motherboard, but The HP DV9000 series of laptops had a known problem with many of the original motherboards, leading to more than average failure. Many were replaced under extended warranty, or enhanced warranty help from HP, many were not. If you haven't dissassembled your laptop yet, definitely check to see if any enhanced warranty is available from HP.

If you have exhausted all warranty efforts, Make sure you do not buy a used motherboard to install, as it will fail soon, just like yours did. Either buy one that is direct from HP, and hopefully new and improved, or directly from a certified repairer, and one that offers a warranty.
Also , if you intend to do the work yourself, you might not qualify for any warranty at all, so check into that too.

Lines on the screed

The lines are causes by a defective NVidia Chipset. The replacement boards that Dell is using for warranty repairs should be problem free, so if under warranty, contact Dell technical support.

If out of warranty but less than 12 months after warranty expired, Dell should still fix the system.

If over 12 months out of warranty, you should be able to get a issue free motherboard from Dell Spare parts (Might be kinda pricy though)
