Need a oem cd driver disk for a gx280 dell desktop,do not want to download nothing,just want the driver cd only thankyou,does anyone have the factory cd gx280 not some put toherher junk,that just loads my hd, up with junk,just the driver cd only oem.I'm not the original buyer of the pc, so I can not register it with dell so they won't sell me one,dam

Try running diagnostics on yourcomputer to see if you have a hardware problem. You should have a CD that camewith the computer that has "Diagnostics and Utilities" listed undercontents. Boot form this CD and run the extended diagnostics.
If you don't have the CD you can go to www.support.dell.com and select "Drivers and Downloads". Enterthe "service tag" (serial number) of the computer. You can then download"Diagnostics" .
To boot from a CD disk, power on your computer and tap the key to bringyou to the "One time boot menu". Insert the CD into the top CD/DVD drive andthen select "Boot from CD/DVD" and hit key. Select the "Runthe 32 Bit Dell Diagnostics.

If all tests pass then reload OS ( Operating Software ).

And install it for your gx 280 . If the problem persists then you have to Download Universal audio architecture from here.

Then again you have to install the above driver

Some old dvd drive cannot read newer disc.A disc drive is not very expensive.You can change it.Is not so difficult to change.here are some helping details

You will need to obtain a Dell Windows XP installation CD. Unfortunately, these discs cannot be bought from the local computer store, but you may have luck posting a request on Craigslist.

just download the driver at http://suppport.dell.com

put in the optiplex gx280 model and download the network driver to a usb device or burn to cd etc. Unzip if necessary and put media in desired computer and install

Can you be more specific ?
You want to erase the whole hard disk ?
or do you want to reset the computer to factory defaults?
Do you have an OS to install after deleting your hard disk?
