Ensure cartridge fitted 100%, and you have taken off cartridge protectors, but the Printer should tell you why it's not printing !
sound simple to replace ink cartridge, but it can be tricky.

Hi joanmcd2, Just go to control panel and go to (printers for xp)/(device and printers win 7)
open the properties of the driver and goto Maintenance tab and then click the EPSON Status Monitor button, you will see the ink levels and there will be an option to replace the ink.

Just have a look at the generic cross reference chart for aftermarket ink jet cartridges & you will see the one cartridge suits ten different Epson models
its because the ink housing will only aline when the ink is empty its not like any other printer that you can line the housing up. Wait until you run out of ink then lift up the lid and the housing will be alined - its stupid system and epson dont tell you this when you buy the produc
