I found the manual for this model weed eater, according to the manual the mixture... and I quote "This engine is certified to operate on unleaded gasoline. Before operation, gasoline must be mixed with a good quality synthetic 2-cycle air cooled engine oil designed to be mixed at a Ratio of 40:1 ...." and I quote once more from the manual "Helpful Tip. To obtain correct oil mix ration, pour 3.2 ounces of 2 cycle synthetic oil into one gallon of fresh gas."
Hope that helps, If you like I can send the manual via email if you need it.
Most gas weed eaters use 2-cycle engines. For the Homelite 2-cycle engine trimmers, use a 50:1 ratio of gasoline to the Homelite lubricant. (For 1 gallon of gas, add 2.6 oz of the oil.)
Older two-strokes were at 20:1 in the days before EPA mandated exhaust emission restrictions and controls. Some of the new equipment lists at 50:1...but I would go with the 40:1 to be sure....and use synthetic oil for best results.

when refueling.
HELPFUL TIP
To obtain the correct oilmix
ratio, pour 3.2 ounces of
2--cycle synthetic oil into
one gallon of fresh gas.
This engine is certified to operate on unleaded
gasoline. Before operation, gasoline must be
mixed with a good quality synthetic 2-cycle
air-cooled engine oil designed to be mixed at a
ratio of 40:1. Poulan/Weed Eater brand
synthetic oil is recommended.Mix gasoline and
oil at a ratio of 40:1. A 40:1 ratio is obtained by
mixing 3.2 ounces (95ml) of oil with 1 gallon (4
liters) of unleaded gasoline. DO NOT USE
automotive oil or marine oil.
if you didn't mix any oil with the fuel, you probally burnt the piston and cylinder up.the only to find out if you did is to pull the muffler off and look inside the cylinder and see if there are any scoring on the piston.if there is you need to replace the piston and cylinder assembly.most cost $100.00 or more.usually they are not worth repairing.i know this is not good news but i hope this helped, let me know.................
